Araku valley is a Hill station, and the valley is represents the its presence in western ghats, which are a home for many tribal people here. The valley is surrounded by mountains Galikonda, Raktakonda, Sunkarimett and chitamogondi.

Coffee was first introduced in eastern ghats at the time of British era and the coffee grown here practiced by tribal farmers by organic ways under the shades Mango, Jack-fruit and Banana tress. So, the coffee here named as Araku Coffee.

Here we start our trip:

Our trips are always in rush, it was Thursday called my buddies, said we are going on a long drive, be at my home by 8 PM. we started our trip on "Innova" . 5 people, with 2 riders. naughty beast(car name) hit the road, highway towards Vijayawada.

It was month of September, its cool and lovely, we reached Araku by 12.30 PM next day, we are tired and fall a sleep as soon as we got into cottage without having lunch, got up around 4 PM, what next, obviously food, inquired with locals and found one restaurant, ordered, had yummy food After that we thought of roaming around, roaming on those roads was filled with much fun in that fog,

Day 2:

Morning; we didn't want to miss the fog and sunrise, so we took car and been to Chaparai, is a well known picnic spot in Araku valley. A scenic place with water falls and surrounding forest area makes people relax and spend their holiday joyfully.

How to reach:

Hire a auto or a taxi to reach to this place

15 km from Araku valley

There is a Paderu bus in the morning to reach Chaparai

we came back freshened up, time for yum breakfast, explored we did some local shopping, tasted local coffee, from there we reached Borra caves.

Borra caves:

These are located on the East Coast of India, in the Ananthagiri hills of the Araku Valley (with hill ranges' elevation varying from 800 to 1,300 m [2,600 to 4,300 ft]). The caves, one of the largest in the country, 37 KM from Araku valley, hire a taxi, or buses available. Borra caves considered the deepest caves in India at an elevation of about 70m (2,313 ft), and The caves are basically Karstic Limestone structures extending to a depth of 80 m (260 ft) formed by local weather and acidic atmoshere created rains from many years

Katiki falls:

The falls are 4 km from Borra caves, located between Borra Caves-Kasalaka railway stations and You can see from the Hills at Tunnel no:44. From Borra caves, you can do trek to reach water fall, or hire a jeep on sharing basis, they will charge 250 per head. You should be prepared to be tossed around in your seat cause the path is very bumpy, so, not recommended for elderly and toddlers.

The last 15 minutes of the trek up to the base of the waterfall is stiff climbing, Wooden and rock Steps are there up to the water fall, the pool was filled with few people, we dipped into water to cool off our body, must have thing after a stiff climbing.
