Benital is a splendid lake situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Benital is a lesser known tourist spot of Uttarakhand. Surrounded with palm trees, it provides a tantalizing view of snow capped Himalayan peaks. It is also near to tea estates of Chamoli. If you like less crowded place then Benital is a perfect destination for you.when we went Benitaal..we found that the lake is dried ...bt the view from Benitaal is awesome.....
Route to Benital is: Rishikesh (NH 58) - Karanprayag (NH 87) - Simli - Simli Band towards Khandura(after 200 mt take left and continue the journey on state highway to 26 km) - Benital .....road from Khandura to Benital is very good execpt last 1 km.....
