Day 1

The ride to Bergville is quite long! They told us it would only be about three hours and it is but yeah the thrills of travelling by taxi is actually another story.

The taxi is not so bad, it is just the taxi driver is really speeding. Do not worry it is the kind of speeding that gets you upset and nauseous. Maybe it is because I have my music with me. I am travelling with my sister for the time being and hopefully next year we will be adding a new member to our duo group and become threesome.

The back seat was apparently occupied by a Pakistanis man who kept wanting to get our attention. I must say it was irritating at first but soon we loved everything. He just wanted to make some small talk.

Welcomes were directed at us as the pioneering couple we were staying with toured around us the small town of Bergville. There isn't much. But I could feel the pressure of seeing the mountains and hiking in the mountains.

The ride back home was interesting. Everything we saw on either side were pure mountains and the dreamy destinations where mountain bikers indulge themselves in.

I told myself I would experience that as we took in the small two room house next to the Kingdom Hall which we will be attending. Our room was just spacious and we stole many kisses and happiness while we started packing in the wardrobes.

Day 2

The morning rush was exhilarating. There is something about waking up in between mountains. Today we are going to be doing some preaching work as auxiliary pioneers in the small town of Bergville.

It is the day time and I could properly see everything around me. The town is not really a tourist attractions place bur it is a place well known shops like JET, PEP, Edgars, Mr Price and small clothing boutique stores crowd the place.

Doing preaching work here was actually very different from the Metropolitan of Durban. One thing is, you could buy ice cream. That is another thing! Bergville is superb hot! I am starting to develop a headache.

A trip down to the dam where they have started building anther Kingdom hall was something like heaven. We took pictures there

It is the third day and of course you know what is Sunday. What is happening on Sunday? First of all on Sunday we go to the meetings and there we learn so much about Jehovah. There was so much love from our brothers and sisters..Luckily the kingdom hall wasn't too far from us. Literally it was all about a walking distance and you couldn't do much but allow it to happen. We were not too early as I had expected to be.

I guess we took the advantage of a few walking distance.

The meeting went very well.I loved everything. It is a small congregation but I loved it. Everything is closer as ever. After the meetings we took very good pictures.

We made friends with two amazing friends. Their names are Sne and Mbali. It is so nice to make friends with people who love Jehovah just as much as I did.

So that afternoon we were at home. Staying at home in Bergville was one of the best things you could ever ask for. I loved everything. The sun was so hot, it earned credit to a real travel destination.

Day 4

Monday morning was hectic because we woke up pretty early. By the time six arrived we were running for the hills. I am just joking. We were just taking a jog in the morning. I could feel my legs throbbing as I ran. When it was a pretty sight when we arrived in the playground where we were going to do some exercise

So the during the day we decided to actually go to town where we would be able to do some shopping. I wasn't expecting too much. I have learned in the solid space of travel not everything will go as planned but you need to cherish every moment.

So we instead we went to shopping in the afternoon. It was a huge relief for such instances. We got to see almost all of Bergville even in the heat it was a trip.

Bergville is a small town. But of course I never noticed that. As twins a lot of people were quite fascinated. But by the last day, we had finished all of our good times and now it was time to head back home.

Day 1

Day 5

Today is the day of the field ministry but because we came during the special week we had the time to sit and enjoy happy times.

So our Tuesday morning is spent right at home.  Sadly today we couldn't exactly do our nails. Aunty Thobile does nails for people as a living. It's quite exciting. She told us we will do our nails maybe on Thursday. Today is Tuesday. So we had fun staying indoors.

It was not a hot day but it was just a fine and normal days. We had amazing lunch and food. Besides the hassle we had a fun time with Aunt Thobile since Uncle Sams slipped back to the kingdom hall. He had to do some intense studying.

Day 7

Thursday! Usually I love Thursdays. But today I decided to just get take a chilly pill. It was hotter than the other days. So we decided to just take a walk to go do Aunt Thobile bible study. It was awesome. She sent us to an old woman who loves to study but talks too much. Her grandchildren would listen animatedly and staring at us. After that we went to go shopping for some materials and this is when we decided doing some shopping for materials for sewing was not a good idea. The town of Bergville was small so we managed to do some shopping at the Kwik Spar there. Back at home we made some chicken briyani. It was definitely delicious and very much worth any try. We had a fun time as family as we ate and had a chat about anything that brings us together. I think I will visit more often here.

Day 2

Day 8

Friday was horrible. Especially in the morning when we had to actually to go to the mountains. But by then it started to really rain hard. So apparently you cannot go to the field ministry when it is raining. It was bad news. But the weather did clear up after a while. It was quite nice I must say. There are many other reasons why we ended up not going really.

So the other bad thing about the morning is the fact I had my periods.

They really did hurt a lot but now I am fine. I had to go to the toilet almost as more than average. The toilet was outside so in the drizzling rain. I even vomitted once. It was sad but I had to toughen up really hard.

We had popcorn and they told us tomorrow evening we were going to have fun with another family somewhere in the mountains. I love where they live. It seems really special.

So as Friday drew to a close we were able to have a proper family worship where we watched a video about falling in love or What is True Love? We had popcorns in a bowl and of course something to drink.

It was lovely.

That night we slept like flying colours.

Day 3

Day 9

Saturday comes and I was thrilled to remember the first thing as I woke up that really there is every reason why I should be grateful to be here. We were going to go to a sisters house with the circuit overseer and her wife. The road trip was amazing.  I could just still picture the bergs and the smokey mountains.

When we arrived we had an amazing time. We made new friends. Of course there was too much food with too much to drink. The funny part was actually trying to get used to the place and the cooking in the kitchen. It was totally hectic though.

We made fried chicken as well as real fried sausages. I made sure not to sound like I am gobbling my food. The young people ate at the living room. It was awesome to have the ability to crack Jokes.

So soon after we went to play some netball as a group. It was quite interesting. We were divided into groups. Happily we were happy to win. We played for all eternity until the afternoon grew darker and deeper.

I love challenges.

So as we left we drove into the night and slept for Sunday.

Day 4

Day 10

Sadly this is the second to last day for everything to happen.  Tomorrow we are leaving Bergville. I don't know what to expect though. Toddy is Sunday and at the cracks of dawn I had some difficulty correctly opening my eyes. There is just so much going on. Today we are going to the Sunday meetings and I honestly cannot wait.

There will be two circuit overseer talks that we had the privilege of attending to. He is a really skilled man with lots to say in Jehovahs organisation.

After the meetings we took pictures. Clipping away on pictures and making sure we cherish the last moments and then we leave.  We told the people that we were going to leave on Monday which is tomorrow and I must say most of them were disappointed.

That Sunday afternoon we decided  to bake some homemade pizza. But it didn't turn out fine so we had to call it 'PizzCake' Yeah how weird.

We ate it. We did. As well as making flour dumplings. They also got half burned but they were well enough for use.

Day 5

Day 11

This is the last day of everything else. We woke up pretty early because Aunty Thobile had a customer she had to do at eight in the morning. So we left at home right at six in the morning.

In the end, there was more to look out for. I slept pretty late the night before and I regret it with my whole heart. I was just moody the next day.

We went to the salons first and then we went to get the taxi. But it was like eleven when we left. The taxi rank in Bergville are busy and very much dirty. And the people are just very very immature. They have this weird obsession over twins.  But finally we boarded the taxi and away it went away. But nor before we had said a sad goodbye to Aunty Thobile.

It was sad but we had hope that someday we will come back and visit. In the taxi all I did was read on Wattpad and listening to music..The journey with the taxi is quite  quiet and people make sure they pay as much as they could. I could see the hills and the landscape as we drove on and on heading finally, home.
