Monastery at 10000 feet. After the first glimpse of Tiger's Nest,You go down a flight of stairs connecting the mountains. You have to brush aside all the prayer flags that hit your face on this journey.Once you overcome all this, suddenly a waterfall opens up giving you access to Tiger's Nest. Bliss, humility, awe all in one moment.A do-not-miss if you somehow manage to drag your ass to Paro.

You walk across a rice field that reminds you of the ending scene of the movie gladiator, with 'Now we are free' in the background.Apart from the legend of the Divine Madman, the womanizing monk and patron of fertility, the trip to Chimi Lakang is a wonderful experience. The cars can only go till a particular place and then you take a half hour walk through a village.
