Bohemian Bonhomie - My perfect Prague trip

"Praha" or Prague- one of the glamorous city of Europe, is something which cannot be missed out from any backpacker's bucket list. The exquisite beauty of this city and its carefully preserved architecture is unmatched!
The city is perfect to be visited anytime during the year due to its pleasant weather, which makes it all the more popular among tourists.

I recently visited Prague for 3 days and its beauty is still fresh in my mind.
Bestowed with UNESCO world heritage sites, the city is well connected and beautifully built with pastel coloured gothic architectures.

One may choose to take a hop-on hop-off tour or travel pass to commute between the popular attractions, but I preferred to walk around most of the time to get the feel of the city, its cobble stone streets, lively cafes, horse and carriages, and above all the Bohemian culture.

Even though euros are accepted in Prague but at some places you get lower exchange rates. Instead of exchanging money in streets or through exchange bureaus, it is better and safer to take the local currency from ATM.

I reached hotel during daytime, and evening went for a stroll in the streets, upto the dancing house which is an architectural marvel, and to see the stunning views across Vltava river.

I made an early start the next day morning to visit the Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge since these places get busy with tourists during daytime. Prague castle is a UNESCO world heritage site. The grand complex of this castle consists of St. George's Basilica, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace, Golden lane, and Lady of Victorious church. If you have a shorter time in Prague you can think of opting a ticket which includes main sites of castle, other than museums.

I headed next to the famous landmark of Prague, the Charles Bridge- a gorgeous pedestrian bridge on Vltava. Sitting beneath the bridge is Mala Strana district of Prague, also called "Lesser Town" but no way less than the other part of town :) An ideal place for shopping, strolling, visiting traditional restaurants, and old world pubs. Evening was fulfilled with cruise on Vltava and peaceful scenic views at the Strahov Monastery.

Being an art lover and foodie I spent my next day at the Old Town Square. The square is surrounded by romanesque houses, gothic church of Lady before Tyn, tall fantastic buildings, the astronomical clock, and lively markets.

The three days that I had spent in this magical city were much better than I had actually imagined. Certainly, there is no end to charm of this fairy tale city!
