Flight from manila to bohol is approx 1hr 30 mis. To reach the beach and resort it’s a 30min drive to pangalao. We stayed at Positanio resort. It’s a 5 min walkable distance to the beach.

Day1: We reached in the noon so had lunch at a Thai restaurant on Alona beach with a lovely sea view. Good food and worth the money. We spent some time on the beach and headed to our rooms to get some rest later we spent the evening on the beach and had dinner in one of the restaurants. Great night life but not very crowded. You could just say a small version of Boracay.

We left early morning for the dolphin watching. We did spot few but were unable to get any pics as they kept moving away from our boat. Keep your eyes open as you may find a group of them floundering around freely swim in their natural habitat. Next, you will be provided with snorkel gears so you can explore the beautiful underwater world full with colourful corals and marine life in Balicasag shores. Balicasag has one of the most dynamic marine ecosystems in the country. Be amazed with the fishes that inhabit in this area. We were able to spot few turtles too and enjoy swimming along with them. Later we will depart to Virgin Island,

Our first destination was the chocolate hills. We did the ATV ride there and got a close look at the hills and later went for the top view of the chocolate hills. Since it was cloudy and kept drizzling we couldn’t get a clear view of the hills

Next we went to see the tarsiers. Tarsier is the world’s smallest primate and is endangered species. Their population have dwindled and approximately there are only 1000 of them in the wild. They measure not more than 4 to 5 inches and weigh around 4 to 5 ounces. They can rotate their head 180degrees in each direction. They are normally shy in nature and sleep during the day.

After spending time with the tarsier we headed for the Loboc river cruise for the lunch. On our way we passed through the manmade forest. The feeling was surreal. The cool breeze and the canopy of trees were a delight to the senses. I wish we have more such manmade forests.

Beautiful churches

The Loboc river cruise is one of the popular destinations in Bohol where one can get on board a floating restaurant and enjoy the Loboc River cruise with buffet meal. Lunch was buffet served on a long table. Selection was decent and the food was good and adequate. The boat had a smooth pace you wouldn't even feel it moving. On a separate floating barge were locals all decked in traditional clothes who make extra money doing a cultural presentation. Our boat docked beside the barge and the locals did their song and dance number. As a one-time indulgence, it's worth the experience.Next we visited a local church and then made our way way back to the resort. On our way back we stopped at the blood compact. The blood compact is considered as the First Treaty of Friendship between two different races, religions, cultures and civilizations. It was a treaty of friendship based on respect and equality. This event is commonly known as “Sandugo”.
