So we Started off in our Car (TATA Tiago) from Hyderabad at around 7:30 PM after all the packing stuff done with little weekend things sorted.

The journey has taken us through some really fresh air and believe me Night drives are like the real journeys where we are all by ourselves and very little or like no intervention from the world around us.

Pit stops include heavenly gateway "7" in the highway of Suryapeta

Day 1

Our Stay Place being at Hyderabad, We had our Telangana Elections on 7th of December this month and followed by a lazy lunch where we were discussing on the next travel trip and then we came up with this crazy idea of why not make one now.. So there started the ignite for this super fun trip.

Day 2

We went to my home town Addaroad, Visakhapatnam district at around 5:30AM in the morning of 8th December where we took rest for about 3 Hrs due to night drive tiredness and had the yummy yummy veg lunch (coz its saturday) prepared by my darling mom and then stared off at around 12 to Araku via NAD Road, Vizag.

So on Saturday we were in this Journey to Araku via Ghat road which is the best and pleasant experience as the evening is nearing by the cool breeze and the fresh scenarios around made me feel like heaven

We reached Araku at around 6:00PM and we do not have an accommodation booked earlier as it was a sudden plan, we tried getting room in every other hotel on our way up to the valley but in vain.

Then came this man Naveen (Kittu- famous with this name) who came to our rescue and offered a stay at this very own home which is so sweet of him (of course for money, but see who does this these days). So we went to his home got freshen up kept our luggage there parked our car at his home and then started for a night walk.

All this seemed to be like a flash dream for me as I can never imagine myself staying at some new persons home whom you have never met earlier and he offered a room by his own. With all gut and little weird tensed emotions we went for dinner and night walk on 8th Dec saturday.

It was super cool at night 8PM, we walked on the roads to explore the local street Food. Highlights of this being: Bamboo chicken (250rs/half kg), the Kebab chicken on stick (20rs/stick), Mirchi Bajji (10rs/piece), Ginger Tea and local Coffee (10rs and 15rs each respectively), Bagara rice and chicken fry combo (85rs/plate), Pulka and aloo curry(1ors for each roti and 20rs for unlimited aloo curry) and many other food options available around the streets.

So we roamed till 11PM on the roads exploring the coolness and people in that area and then came back to home and took rest as we were really tired with our drive scenes.

Woke up at 5:30AM and got freshen up and started to Kanjoda Forest and railway bridge near to Araku which is a must visit place there, filled with lot of fog and greenery around. Stayed there for about 2 hrs and started our way back to Araku where we had local break fast which is damn cheap like Idli (3pieces/10rs), Dosa (10rs/plain, any variant 30rs), poori (1ors each) followed by a yummy tea which filled in our tummy to the full.

Day 3

Got back to home got ready, parted farewell to Naveen and his family( a super cute family of naveen his wife and 3 daughters) who were the best hosts (charged 2000 for 4 people per night which is like really really reasonable) and left to Borra caves via Ghat road.

On the way in Araku we visited Tribal museum which is like fab and has the best collection to depict the way tribal people have lived their traditions and cultures are crafted is such a nice way. It has many collections like traditional Dhimsa dance. The museum is open from 9am to 5pm and the entry Fee for Adults is Rs 40 & Rs. 20 for Children.

The road travel also showcases us with coffee plantations on either sides where we chose a pit stop to check out the shops there and buy some coffee and other traditional spices which are harvested on the very own mountain ranges there. We drank the sample coffee there which is made by the coffee which is harvested there and took for some for friends and family.

Then we parted way to the most adventures place Burra Caves located in the Ananthagiri mandal of the Visakhapatnam district. It is amust visit spot if you are heading to Araku, you can either visit this place on the way to araku or while you are coming back from araku. these caves are discovered by a person who was searching for a missing cow of his as told by the reports. This caves has Lord shivas idol there which is worshiped by most people who visit here.

We had our lunch (Proper Indian Andhra meals) in the very famous "Sri Sai Ram Hotel" which is a must try place if you are a lover of Thali. It comprised of Rice, Fry , Dal, 3 curries, Sambar, Rasam, Mango pickle, Curd. (everything unlimited for 90rs/plate which is totally worth it. It also serves Non veg dishes like chicken curry, omlette, mutton and fish.

After the Burra caves we started back to Hyderabad to catch up with our offices on Monday morning. It took around 9Hrs for us to reach hyderbad which took us the normal routine lives again.

And thats the end of our super cute short and sweet trip to Araku valley :) And believe me Araku is a must visit place in the month of December.

#Happy tripping #travel a lot not to learn the places but to explore within you :)
