Sometime someday everyone should have an experience of our Lokpath Gamini thats what my mother  say to Train.

With the history of Railway in India dates back to 1844 brought forward by Governor-General of India Lord Hardinge. The first train in India became operational on 1851- 12-22, and was used for the hauling of construction material in Roorkee. A year and a half later, on 1853- 04-16, the first passenger train service was inaugurated between Bori Bunder, Bombay and Thana. Covering a distance of 34 km (21 miles), it was hauled by three locomotives, Sahib, Sindh and Sultan.

I will definitely not bore you by much more history but will tell an amazing and lifetime experience of mine in Indian Railways.

Though ,I have travelled a lot in trains which u can guess by reading my other stories to different places.Amazing things happen over a journey and being mostly solo Traveller I love to make new friends so I mostly prefer to travel by Railways as I got lot of people to interact with.

Here comes the journey session where a short trip was full of mesmerizing views and an amazingly different experience in a whole life time after passing through this Railway Bridge.

The railway bridge is located 12.5 metres (41 ft) above sea level and is 6,776 ft (2,065 m) long. The bridge consists of 143 piers and has a double-leaf bascule section with a Scherzer rolling lift span that can be raised to let ships pass. Each half of the lifting span weighs 415 tonnes (457 tons). The two leaves of the bridge are opened manually using levers.Opened on 24 February 1914, it was India's first sea bridge, and was the longest sea bridge in India until the opening of the Bandra Worli Link in 2010.

In 1988, a road bridge was also constructed parallel to the rail bridge. This road bridge is also known as Indira Gandhi Road Bridge. The Pamban Road Bridge connects the National Highway (NH 49) with the Rameswaram island.

Travelling by this Pambam bridge is an amazing experience really one should atlest try once to feel the amazing fresh cool sea breeze coming while traveling in a train and passing by the bridge with amazing colours of sea seen through out on both sides and road bridge on another side.
