Chango is a Village in Pooh Tehsil in Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh State. It is located 120 KM towards East from District head quarters Reckong Peo. 322 kms from shimla. Chango, on the banks of the Spiti river, at an altitude of 3,058 meters in Hangrang valley is largely a Buddhist village. Chango is also know for growing one of the finest quality of apples in the state.
The village of Chango is bordered on its sides by the Chango and Kuru Tokpo streams, both of which drop down almost 8,000 feet from their glacier origins. They provide this oasis of green with a rich harvest of peas, apples and apricots.
