Day 1

We started from Delhi at 12 at night on 8th Nov(when 500& 1000 rs notes demonitized).

With only 300 rs cash we started our trip from delhi, huge line at petrol pumps. There were 2 tasks first to find a petrol pump with less queue and secondly that accepts debit card. After 2 hours of hassle we finally filled the tank in Ghaziabaad after that we started our journey. Driving all night in the fog, went wrong side on the road 2 times, prevented accident 3-4times.At 6 we were sitting riverside(ganga, rishikeah). Feets deep in the river, head high toward mountain peaks, feeling the breeze as the river bathed in the morning sun. After rishikesh next stop was devprayaag. Amazing was to see the two rivers soo different, Alaknanda(flowing with soo turbulance showing its might) and Bhagirathi(calm like a night) mingling together and giving birth to lifeline for millions of us..GANGA(pure as it could be).

Moving ahead along the alaknanda river we reached RUDRAPRAYAG(the land of lord shiva).Akaknanda companies you all the way getting more mightier as we move to more heights.

Starting from rudraprayag it is a 2 hour drive to Ukhimath and around 1 hour more to saari village. From saari village we were going to track to Deoritaal(surreal beauty, elevation 2438 meters) which is a 3 km trek. As we had no cash we were not stopping much. But at saari village we had lunch and to our surprise the restaurant owner agreed for online payment, he even made the arrangements for dinner and next day breakfast and even gave us 500 rs cash.

At 4:30 we started trekking for Deoritaal and at 6 we reached there. It was a perfect timing as dusk was falling upon, sun was setting marking its last influence on the snowy peaks, making them shine like gold.

We set our tents for the first time in our lives, which took around an hour and a half. At 7 pm it felt like it was 10 pm. Sky was clear and stars filled the sky justifying the name of our galaxy(milkyway). We slept outside our tents till 3am in the morning, when we were waked up by a roar of a wild animal and we rushed inside our tents.

Day 2

We woke up early as we didn't want to miss the sunrise as its light again covers the snowy peaks.

At 8 am we started descending to saari villege where we had our breakfast and then left to choupta.

At 10 am we reached choupta, which is 30 km from the saari village and a starting point for trek to CHANDRASHILA(elevation 4000 meters).

Trek to CHANDRASHILA peak is of 5 km from Choupta.

At 11 am we started our trek. Filled with the scenic beauty, the trek is more fun if you don't follow the path and carve your own path through the mountains. It took three hours to reach TUNGNATH temple (highest Shiva temple in the world, elevation 3680 mt.).

At 3 pm we were at the CHANDRASHILA peak. The view is worth coming for. Chilled air flowing from the Himalayas and sunshine add upto the movement of innerpeace.

While we were filled with the beauty of the place, a crow took our biscuit, kurkure(thanks to our friend who was watching those☺).

At 6 pm we started descending back to choupta and reached there by 8 pm.

We started back for delhi at 9 pm.

Day 3

At 1 am in the morning,on our way back to Delhi we were looking out for petrol, as in hills petrol pump were closed early and adding to it they also do not accepts the cards.

Thanks to the police officials at KARAKOT who helped us to get petrol at the middle of the night. Now with no cash, and hungry as hell we were waiting to reach Rishikesh, so that we can use our debit cards to have some food.
