Some trips hold a special place in your heart, Dubai - my first international trip is one such trip where I was completely lost in the charming city. With fantastic infrastructure in place, Dubai has excellent tourism amenities. As a tourism student, I feel Dubai has all the 5 A's required for a country to be a popular Tourist Place. From attraction to accessibility or accommodation to amenities and awareness, Dubai has it all under its umbrella.

A short but memorable 4 day 3 night trip was something never to forget; a short honeymoon I would say. Very convenient for short breaks from a hectic life, just a 3-3.30hr direct flight operated by a number of airlines, Dubai is well known for shopping, partying, sunbathing, fine dining, sporting, and even a few sinful pleasures. From beaches to desert, from malls to local markets, from water sports to camel rides, from world's tallest structure to largest artificial islands, from gold souk to spice souk, you name it and Dubai has it all. We (my husband and me) stayed at Park St. Regis situated at Bur Dubai. Conveniently located with many good Indian restaurants that a vast variety of delicacies were at just walking distance from the hotel. Bang opposite to Burjuman Centre (Bur Dubai) shopping was just across the road. The famous Meena Bazar is also 10 minutes drive from the hotel.

We visited one of the finest man made sculpture -The Burj Khalifa, is a mega-tall skyscraper with a total height of 2717 ft. It takes 60 seconds by the watch to reach 124th floor. An outdoor observation deck, named At the Top, gives you the breathtaking glance of the beautiful city. At the Top is equipped with features - the electronic telescope, which allows visitors to view the surrounding landscape in real-time.

An additional fascination was the Dubai Fountain - the world’s tallest performing fountain. One of the most compelling attractions where you see water and lights dancing to the tunes of Arabic music. The world’s largest dancing fountain goes up 900 ft long with water jets that shoot up to 500 ft in the air, as high as a 45-storey building. A magnificent view I must say.

Another must visit when in Dubai is the famous Desert Safari. An ultimate experience away from the concrete high rise city. The spectacular scenery can be experienced with a drive across the red dunes at the desert camp. Dune driving, Henna, Hookah, Camel Ride, ATV Rides, Photographs with Falcon and in Traditional Arabic Attire. Show is topped up with folk and belly dancing followed by Barbecue Dinner.

A highly proposed destination that can be considered for a short break to give you vast timeless and priceless events that will be etched in your memories forever.
