What a classy style to design a lavish bungalow by Capt. Vikas Gokhale, the great grandson of the late freedom fighter, Gopal Krishna Gokhale! Dala Rooster is an exclusive and luxury stay in the heart of the very famous hill station - Panchgani, situated just 200 meters from Parsi Point. Particularly, it is away from the hustle bustle of Mahabaleshwar and different from the typical 5 star resorts which are heavy on the pocket.

Cleanliness at this best, I must say!
The entrance to this bungalow is extremely welcoming with a private parking area, beautiful flowers and a pretty lawn.
The view from the living room is a mesmerizing valley view. The interiors are lovely with a pretty fireplace which breaks the stereotype architecture.
The home has 6 bedrooms which are rented to guests with a common dining and kitchen area. These guest rooms are spick-and-span with 4 of these having an attached bath. All rooms are equipped with an AC and a television.
The highlight of this place is the amazing Gazebo, overlooking the valley which allows its guests to have a refreshing evening tea and may be a enjoy a thirst quencher.
This view would totally be worth it in the rains!
I truly appreciate the caretakers at this property. They have been very warm, helpful and cooperative throughout our stay.
Food
You have the privilege to eat your meals at the property or head out to the city for the same. The taste is homely and they can cook per your interests. The cooks can also treat you with a BBQ at night if you wish to.
If you travel at this time of the year, you can be lucky to taste their fresh and special strawberry with cream, better than the all time favorites - Mapro (not a fan myself) and Bagicha!
Note: Guests are not allowed to cook.
Activities
There are games available for the guests to spend some quality time - Badminton, Cards, Chess.
10 minutes from Dala Rooster, is Devrai Art Village, where one can learn the art of creating unique and distinctive art pieces using brass, stone, wood and metal. They organize workshops and can be contacted through the property as well.
You can also indulge in an Ayurveda relaxing massage at the property itself so you do not have to travel. The masseurs will come to the bungalow with a kit only for you.
Cost
The stay for a night costs approximately INR 2000 per head which includes breakfast and taxes. Other meals cost about INR 300 for vegetarian and INR 400 for non-vegetarian food.
The entire bungalow can be booked for yourself if you are a big group travelling. The cost will vary in that case.
