Here is the small itinerary of our Darjeeling tour including Lamahatta, Tinchulley . Hope it will be helpful.
How to Reach:
By Flight: The nearest airport is Bagdogda Airport. From there you can get shared cab to reach darjeeling. It takes almost 3 hours to reach darjeeling .
By Train:Nearest Railway station is NJP station . There are several trains from Sealdah station to NJP . That is almost 12/14 hours journey by train . From NJP station you can get the shared cab which charge 150 rupees per person.
Where to Stay: There are numerous hotel option near the mall. You can get good hotel with view around 3200 rupees.
We were 13 in total, We stayed at Maya lodge in Zakir hussain Road near Prasar Bharti. This lodge has rooms with full mountain view.
Day 1: Our train from kolkata arrived at NJP station around 9.30 in the morning. After the breakfast we started our journey for Darjeeling. We had not booked our hotel room earlier so we were worried. We took the shared cab. The cab driver charged 200 rupees extra to drop us near mall as we decided to stay near this area.
We arrived Darjeeling around 3 o clock. We started searching for our hotel rooms. We found a good lodge in reasonable price near prasar bharati. But its only for lodging . They do not offer fooding. This lodge is operated by an elderly sweet couple. They are very friendly and helpful.

After reaching and having lunch , we enjoyed our time in mall. We did shopping near the mall. There is market for shopping where you get different things in reasonable price.
Weather was cloudy.
Do not forget to taste the local cuisines momo, Thukpa, Churpee.

Day 2: Our second day plan was included the sunrise in Tiger Hill. But the weather was so cloudy we changed our plan in the last moment. We hired a local cab and visited the places Takdah Forest, Tinchulley, Lamahatta park.
These all are half day tour from Darjeeling.
Takdah is a village 28kms from darjeeling. One can enjoy the lovely mountains with beautiful scenic views, tea gardens and blooming orchids.
Tinchulley is an off-beat place away from the crowd. There are several home stays available in Tinchulley. If you want to spend your time away from the crowd I would suggest you to stay at Tinchulley.
If you are lucky enough and the weather is just perfect you can witness the beautiful view of 3 snow peak altogether.
Our next destination was Lamahatta Park which consists of Dhupi and Pines. Along the way you will find gazebos made with wood and bamboo. You can enjoy the charm of the forest by sitting on the gazobes.
There is colorful prayer flags all around the park.

There is also one lake on the hill top . You can only reach there only by trekking through the pine forest. This is not advisable for aged people.

Day 3: Our third day tour included tiger hill, Batasia Loop , Ghoom Monestary, Japanees Peace Pagoda, Himalayan zoological garden , Rock Garden,Happy Valley tea estate.
You have to start early morning to witness the sunrise from tiger hill. It is better to book your cab one day before. We had not booked our cab. We got the cab from near mall road. But the luck was not in our favor. We reached there in time but due to the cloudy weather we missed the sunrise.

Next we visited Batasia loop. It is an war memorial.
The journey to Rock garden was little risky but you can also enjoy the beautiful view of Tea Gardens.
Day 4: Next day we visited the Rope way . A beautiful place to must visit.
On fourth day tour journey ended. We returned from Darjeeling to NJP.
