Finally it was time to bid adieu to our overnight location at Sonamarg after having our breakfast. The next point of destination was Leh that's our stop for the next two days. But to reach Leh we have to pass trechorous Zozilla Passs, second highest inhabitates place on earth Drass, a visit to Kargil war Memorial, Kargil city, Fotila Pass, Lamayuru, Magnetic hill and than to Leh all this is hardly 350kms but it's not the distance that takes a toll on the human body but the time taken and the terrain through which one has to go through. Google maps would say it takes hardly 10:30hrs to cover this distance but it took us approximately 13hrs to cover the distance. But before we could start our journey for Leh we had to fuel up our bikes and the biggest hurdle for us was to find a petrol pump. The nearest one to our location was 14kms back so we bought fuel from an uncle who sells it in black for INR85/ltr whose stays near the old bridge. So after refueling we started for Leh finally.
