The day started with getting up early morning with car and stuff all ready.
As the destination was to reach Jaipur from Delhi with a car ride of 260 Kms. We reached Jaipur around 11 am and started our sightseeing with Amber Fort and Palace .
As Amber Fort sits atop a hill overlooking Maota Lake. It was the home of Rajput rulers and it have breathtaking palaces, halls, gardens. Cherry to the cake is evening sound and light show which describe the Fort's history.
As we all know Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan in Northern India. It is also known as the Pink City due to the dominant color scheme of its buildings. Interestingly Jaipur is also home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the Jantar Mantar & the Amer Fort.
Continuing with the local sightseeing we next went to City Palace -
Upon visiting the magnificent City Palace, it's easy to say that royal family of Jaipur was one of the richest in India. The royal family lives still lives there. Also inside there is a museum, art gallery, and interesting displays of royal costumes .
Craving for Kachori and Lassi which is famous in Jaipur takes us to a halt for lunch.
Some other attractions which one should explore are -
Hawa Mahal - Popularly known as Palace of the Winds - it has five floors that contain rows of small windows and screens.
Jantar Mantar - known as calculation instrument. There are 14 structures in total, which measure time, predict eclipses, and track stars. It's a profound display of how quickly time goes go!
Nahargarh Fort - It is also known as Tiger Fort & is perched high on the rugged Aravali Hills overlooking Jaipur city. It was built to help defend the city. Sunset is the best time to visit this fort.
The day end with beautiful memories & captured moments & lots of shopping.
