- We started from delhi on 21st night around 11 pm .... UPSRTC Janrath us an AC bus .. Pretty decent .. Reached rishikesh at around 5:30 am .. Booked a room in a nearby guest house for 2 hours to wash and change ... Then took two bajaj pulsar bikes on rent for four days (blv me its a wonderful deal) (u can opt for other bikes as well, including royal Enfield). Started from rishikesh at 10:15 am ...had lunch at Srinagar .. And reached saari village at 5:30 pm ... Took tents and other equipment for a day from a local guy ... Started trek at around 7 pm. It was already dark . 2.3 kms .. Steep, zig zag climb . pitched our tents .. Though u can get already pitched tents at deoriya-taal .. Food was arranged by the same guy .. Folding is not a problem at deoriya-taal ... There are plenty of shops up there . stayed at deoriya-taal for the night .... Enjoyed çampfire ... Place was over crowded ... It was damn cold ... Then. We called the day off . next morning wake up to be amazed by the. Sunrise and the awesome view ... Then after coming our eyes with the view ... We started descending back to saari village .. We had our breakfast at saari . From there we went to chopata on the bike .. Chopata is approx 20 kms from saari .. Took tents and equipment on rent . Then we started from chopata to tungnath and chandrshila ... Reached chandrshila at around 4 pm ... Then my frnds decided to camp at tungnath and I decided to camp at chandrashila. Staying at chandrshila was an awesome experience. One must always try this one . Shopkeepers at tungnath will ask u not to stay overnight at chandrshila .. But take some necessary risk and also some necessary precautions and go for it. .. Chandrshila was awesome botha t night and morning . Next morning we decended to chopta .. And then back to rishikesh ... Returned our bikes .. And then boarded an Uttrakhand transport corporation AC bus to delhi ... Never ever in your life take Uttrakhand transport AC bus ...go for a royal cruiser from UTC .. But not an ordinary AC bus .. That's a warning. Rest enjoy the trip.
@4000 m and -2 °C ..life is a little different. And what about spending a night alone at chandrshila summit ...where winds are strong ... oxygen is Less. Well ... I enjoyed it.
