Traveling is truly illuminating. Over the years, I’ve experienced travel in three distinct ways: with family, with friends, and solo. Each type of journey offers unique insights and adventures. I’m sharing experiences, and thoughts on each, hoping they resonate with you.

Starting with family travels, which have always been both pleasant and demanding in my case. The experience of exploring new cultures and beautiful landscapes with loved ones is invaluable. However, the need to cover a lot of ground within a limited time frame with my parents can sometimes be tense, yet fun.

I tried to change the fast-paced nature of our trips in my recent trip with them. This time, I focused more on enjoyment and relaxation while still visiting various places. I even convinced my parents to join my brother and me for river rafting. Although they were terrified at first, they eventually joined in, and my dad even took a dip in the river for fun. Another unique aspect of traveling with family is the inevitable visits to sacred temples and ancient monuments, which I find quite fascinating. We all realised that vacations could be more relaxing than we had previously experienced, and I look forward to more such immersive experiences.

Group travels with friends with no doubt, are filled with playful moments and shared delight. Having friends to share experiences with is incredibly pleasing. I’ve been on several trips with friends, each of which boosted my spirits in different ways. I learned while traveling as a group, you can still have your separate experiences. You have company to keep your spirits engaged and definitely sharing travel hacks with each other benefits all. Traveling with friends also uplifts your bond, as you share a venture together. Plus, the memories you make are priceless.

What remains is solo traveling. It is a whole different experience. It helped me grow more comfortable and confident in myself. Being alone in a new environment made me more familiar with myself as an individual. I met new people and bonded over our shared love for travelling. Initially, I thought solo travel might not be for me, but I’m glad I overcame that hesitation. The experience was enriching, and I was fortunate to meet fellow travellers and share great conversations, insights, and vibes. It was a cathartic experience.
