Hello people :) This is going to be a very short description of my recent Diu trip and I'm also including few pictures and days that I visited in my past. I hope it's something that you would wanna read :)

Diu is quite a good place to visit if you are in for a 2 days trip or wanna make weekend plans. It's very well known amongst people in Gujarat as it's one of the closest beach place where you also have access to alcohol #TrueFacts :D

Just an important point to note, alcohol is pretty cheap here and I'm sure, not just me but people who drink m, pour their heart out and all the alcohol in when they are in Diu as it's like "oh heavenly drinks dirt cheap" :D

It's not a secret or a hidden fact that people mostly and mainly visit the place when they are fed up of water and soft drinks and it's time for hard stuff to drink ;)

Well! Hey! My loving people, don't get disheartened as I'm not here to talk about that. In fact, it's a short notice to share how the place also has its own beauty. I would say "short and sweet" to describe it.

The weather here remains cool most of the time unless it's the peak of summer.

The evening and nights are always cool.

It was one of the "planned" trip that I had with 4 of my guy friends and unlike usual friends they were ready instantly when it was planned.

So, it was Canute (our food blogger), Varun (human with maximum questions and the enthusiasm), Sherwin (Wild life lover and officer) and Neil (Our stud :D) and Me!

Me!

Needless to say, it was a happening bunch that one could ask for. We had Canute's car to take us to this place from Ahmedabad. It's not much of a distance from Ahmedabad (Approx 350kms). One needs hell of a patience to drive down to the place though, as the road is quite rough and it takes almost 7-8 hours for you to reach there!

before we enter the bad roads!!!

On the way, we took a halt at a small tea stall to begin with and had tasty samosa's and Gotas ;) with chai to ensure that the start is good :D

Have some sexy Gotas :D

We were quite up for it though and we had a bonus as well. Canute works in a bank! The rooms were booked and it was almost like free stay for us. So, why not!

It wasn't my first time in Diu. So, i didn't have much to explore and it was also good as we knew exactly where to go and where not to. It was the first time for Neil, so we had to make sure it's a good experience: D

We didn't get much of a chance to spend time at the beach as there was high alert! Apparently there was a cyclone warning and people weren't allowed on the beach. So, we just had a quick view and got back.

We crossed an old church while coming back built by the portuguese

One of my favorite place there is the Naida Caves. It's heavenly! If I'm not wrong it's from the time when the Portuguese existed here.

As we entered, we were welcomed with cute little pups as you can see in the pictures :) ^_^

It's the most amazing place there for good pictures or a shoot. The morning light or the lights before sunset looks so splendid there. You get to see beautiful tones and sun rays falling from above in the caves. There's a unique silence and sense of chilly weather in there. I can spend an entire day inside clicking pictures with the right people around. Plus, we also had Sherwin who'd just get lost somwhere in there in search of insects, animals and what not.

Oh look! Two brothers having a random laugh on some crazy shit

He has got some crazy knowledge about such creatures whom we don't even know that they exist. So, it's quite interesting and fun to roam around places knowing few things about nature.

Ahh skull! Totally my thing :D

He also caught a big spider and decided to keep it as a pet. So he took it in a jar, made a temporary home for it and kept it in Varun's bag (Varun's shit scared of spiders :D). So, the rest of the time spent by Varun was asking if the spider is dead or inquiring if it doesn't lay eggs and spread a million spiders in his bag :D

The next was the famous Diu fort which was built in the 16th century. It's huge! And it's built right besides the sea. We got to see the waves crashing through the walls of the fort that day. And they were some big waves, you bet. It's quite a place to know the history of what happened in the past. So many canon balls and canons still lying there.

Sherwin: Yeh pani meh kuch toh pakadne jaisa hoga....

Day 2

So happy to blow up the place..

We being ourselves :d

We also found out a beautiful place which is behind the fort as well. Not everyone quite know about the place so it's mostly barren. It's kind of a rocky place, quite green after monsoon and during winter. As you can see in the pictures. We sat there for a while with cool breeze blowing like it will take us away and on the other hand, the waves inviting us to just jump and get lost in the sea, haha!

If at all you get a chance to wake up early in the morning and take a walk there, the peace and the soft morning blues will definitely amaze you as you won't get to see anything like that in the entire day. You'll only see it, if you are alone :)

Fortim-Do-Mar Old Jail in Diu

The last time I came, I did take a morning walk on the empty road and I walked through the beach, took a very off beat view of the Diu fort from quite a distance and the Jail which is in the middle of the sea.

Food and drinks are an important part of our life. I am glad that it was something that was common in all 5 of us. So, even though there aren't much options for food, we made sure we ate the best of everything. These two days we were literally hogging. Pomfret, prawns, chicken, half fry masala, you name it... We ate like crazy.

It was definitely a well planned break for us 5. We weren't resting so much but it gave us peace of mind. We ate, we drank, we laughed, we talked funny and serious things, we planned for the next trip together as well :D

And then it was time to return with smiling faces :)

The sky looked crazy blue on the way back so we had to take a break. I mean, look at this:

Cheers! To the boys who are always up for trips and can make adjustments without false excuses.

I'll take a bow and plan another one now :)
