It is celebrated over the course of 12 years in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh(former Allahabad).
Prayagraj is well connected to all the major cities of India via Air, Rail, and Road.
How to reach:
By rail- Allahabad Junction (ALD) or
By air- Allahabad Airport(IXD) 12KMs or Lucknow (LKO) 170KMs.
By road- Civil Lines Bus Stand or Alambagh Bus Terminal.
Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, the Yamuna and the mystical Saraswati in Uttar Pradesh.
I took the holy dip on the Mahashivratri 4th March 2019.
This day is symbolic of the last holy bath of the Kalpvasis and is directly related to Lord Shiva. As per Hindu mythology, this day is awaited in the heavens as well.
The congregation includes Ascetics, Saints, Sadhus, Sadhvis, Kalpvasis, and Pilgrims from all walks of life. People from all over the world come visit this marvelous event when it happens.
There are magnificent processions of saints and their disciples, and members of various Akharas (religious orders) take part in the rituals.
Colors of Kumbh is what I call looking at this magnificent different colors arranged near the Triveni sangam.

I love eating/drinking street side fruits/juices. FYI It doesn't fall under junk category.
