Ibn Battuta Mall

This Dubai trip was my first trip overseas with my best friend. It was a magical trip where we met people from various countries and cultures. Plus I got to spend some good time with my best friend.

Bhurj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. It houses a restaurant - AT.MOSPHERE on the 123rd Floor and the view from there is simply breath-taking, it leaves you speechless. The food there is also amazing. There is a strict dress code of western formals at the restaurant.

Its a huge mall which consists of six courts, each of whose designs are inspired by some of the countries visited by the great Moroccan Berber explorer, Ibn Battuta (Egypt Court, India Court, China Court, Andalusia Court, Persia Court, Tunisia Court) Please wear comfortable shoes if you visiting this mall

Its a 02-03 hour cruise along The Dubai Marina, which is a canal city in the Venetian tradition, carved along a two mile stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. The most prominent sights are the illuminated sky scrapers of the new and exclusive Dubai Marina residences, The water promenade of The Dubai Marina Yacht club, The Dubai Marina mall, a host of international five star hotels with their splendid architecture, and private beaches, the infamous Palm Jumeirah along with the majestic Atlantis Hotel, and even the Burj Al Arab in the night sky whilst cruising through the Palm Canals. Breathtaking views of the fronds and golden mile, up close and personal to marvel at, including Signature Villas, Garden Homes and Canal Cove Town Homes on The Palm bought by the rich the famous. Dress Code for the Cruise would be Semi-Formals

Desert Safari was the high light of the trip. The start of the safari they take you deep into the desert over the sand dunes, which is like a roll a coaster ride followed by a buffet dinner / belly dancing / henna art etc at the base camp in the desert. Its a beautiful experience.

Its also known as Old Dubai. Its where the markets are to buy gold, spices, dry fruits. Also there is a shop known as "Ratans" in Meena Bazaar in Old Dubai from where you can buy the best perfumes at the cheapest price available.
