Day 1

Mahuli fort is the tallest hill of thane district  with an elevation of 2815 feet..Mahuli fort has a great importance in the book of history it was built by the  mughals in 1485 A.D under the nizamashahi rule..shivaji raje took this fort from mughals on 8 jan 1658.In 1661 it was given back and won again by the marathas.however in 1665 this fort was lost once again by shivaji raje..

How to reach there?
Grab a kasara going local cst train(central line) get down at asangaon station from asangaon station one can get rickshaw or bus...

Mahuli is basically easy leveled 3 hour trek recommended for every age group ...once reaching the top there are various sights to see in the fort like kalyan darwaja, bhandargad ...while here one can also see various pinnacles like Wazir,navra-navri,veer these pinnacles are popular spots for rock climbers ..

One can observe a lot flaura And fauna here will heading up I observed  valores lizard and some beautiful species of birds such as Alpine shwift ..
Mahuli is a perfect place to experience beauty of sahyadris there are caves available there for night stay too
