Explorations are always goes adventure... this turned real adventure. I decided to go for trek two weeks before to Torna Fort, which is 50km from pune. We were 7 people (me, rashika, shiva, revathy, mani, rekha and Dheeraj)
There were no train tickets available to book. So decided to book tatkal and we were 7ppl.
Then I tried for tatkal but didn't get tickets. So took general tickets, Then caught by TT n I explained him n he took extra charges n said he will give seats coz three girls in our team. So in one compartment four of my other friends were travelling to pune. So they gave us seat to sit. Till then I went to TT to adjust two seats so that we can sit till pune. But it didn't go as planned. Then we bought tents with us. We five ppl took tents out n slept on floor n two people slept on one seat.
On Saturday we reached pune by 9.05 then we took local bus from Pune Railway station to Swargate bus stop and then took another bus to CHALEDIGOAN. From CHALEDIGOAN we took jeep to VELHE (base village for Torna Fort). On our way we took panner n some spices to make barbeque paneer on wood fire at night. We reached velhe base village. We're we had Lunch n made marinate panner for night. Also took some 3kgs of wood for Campfire. Then we packed awl n started trek at 2pm.
After 2km trek we reached small waterfalls, we spent 30mins there. Then started hiking mountain. It took 2hr30min to reach half the way n we reached a ridge which was completely awesome view of fort n surroundings. Then after few stops we reached actual fort steps which were half broken steps n unable to climb them n it was drizzling. (Torna fort is like half fort on up is completely filled wid clouds n rain continuous and half down fort is sunny)
So steps started from clouds after few steps we reached another waterfalls. Spent some place there. Then by 5pm we reached Torna fort top point. Mangei devi temple. Actual plan is to trek Torna fort to Rajgad fort which is 11km trek of ridge trek through jungle. It's already 5pm n three girls with us. So few local trekkers said don't take risk and night stay here and morning start bck to Rajgad fort. So we stayed on Torna fort. We pitched of tents at temple and went into a small shed were we cooked barbeque panner in alluminium foils on firewood which we brought wood from base village. We ate them with chapathis and then we came out awl oua tents washed away wid heavy rain. Then we slept in temple.
