I had heard a lot about the rising Reykjavik coffee culture and the city's vibrant café scene, before my week-long trip to Iceland. Even though I only had a total of 24 hours spread across two days in the city, I knew I had to hit up some of Reykjavik's best coffee shops. I'm not necessarily a coffee connoisseur (in fact I've given up caffeine since a year), but I just love coffee shops! I love exploring quirky, offbeat cafés that are a local favorite. I'll invariably spend at least one quiet afternoon writing out postcards from a coffee shop in every city I visit! I've done that in , and . Spending an afternoon in a café is a great way to slow down and discover a city's culture. So please resist the temptation to go to a Starbucks, (as much as I love the place :))
