Day 2

Around 11 pm I have reached the New Delhi railway station. From there I took a auto from there to reach ISBT( They will charge you around 180 from railway station to ISBT).

This is the first time I have been to Delhi and I struggled a lot to find a bus to Dehradun. There will be many private bus people who offer you the facility of bus to Dehradun and they charge you around Rs 700/- Do not take the bus booking from the private people in & around the ISBT and you can easily find a bus by yourself in the ISBT. There will be buses for every 1 hour to Dehradun (Costing around Rs 300/-)

Day 3

Morning around 6 am I have reached Dehradun.

Please note: For Kedarkanth trekking it should be done through some trekking agencies (Eg; Riding solo) I have mentioned them because I approached them for this trek. They charged me Rs. 6000/- from Dehradun.

These agencies are must beacuse this is a adventurous trek done at 12500 ft for 3 days at -10°c.

Coming back to our journey.... All the riding solo team gathered at Dehradun bus station by 7:30 am and we stared from there to our first destination Sankari.

SANKRI:

The Sankari Village in Uttarakhand is a route to The Paradise of Himalayas for every trekker. It is not just a scenic hamlet situated in but also a trekker’s delight.

The Sankri Village is the last road head to the Govind Balah pant wildlife sanctuary. The village offers ecstatic views of the Himalayan skyline and a plethora of mountain peaks, gazing at you from a distance.

Things to be noted: From the journey b/w Dehradun and SANKRI the Mobile signals will be lost. The only means of communication is through the walkie talkie of trekking agencies.

Juda ka Talab -

It is a small high altitude lake between Sankri and Kedarkantha trek summit which is located at 9,100 ft above sea level.

Juda ka talab is a base camp for the Kedarkanth peak. We spent our rest of the day at Juda ka talab nd preparing for the adventurous trek for the next day.

Here is the best part of Riding solo team... At such an altitude of 9,000 ft we have been provided with "Gulab jamun" and roti for the breakfast.
