So 2019 is really special to my heart. Coz this year i finally took my first solo trip which was there on the bucket list since so many years.
VSince my childhood i like to travel...it brings a different kind of energy and gives me a sense of freshness, enthusiasm and strength. Thanks to my parents who like to travel i did cover most of the places in india with them. But thats a different kind of experience. Then in my college days i covered some exciting places with my friends. And after getting married with my husband but again a different kind of travel. But my soul always wanted to wander alone. So after making everyone understand this i took my first solo trip this year when i was in mumbai.
Though the trip was very quick one and not to a famous tourist spot. But i felt really special and powerful after that. It gave me immense joy and a different kind of adrenaline rush.
So lets get to the trip details. I chose panchgani as my first travel destination coz i had only two days in my hand due to the busy life in mumbai. Plus my family members agreed only for two days as it was first trip....arghh!! Also i chose panchgani for the unique zostel there...which has rooms in containers. So cool!!!!
I began my trip by taking a bus from mumbai to panchgani which was supposed to reach at 6 in the morning. But we reached at 4.30!!! Now being alone i dint risk taking a cab at that time and waited at the bus stop for an hour. Luckily some other passengers were there to have some little talk. At 5.30 i took a cab to my zostel. And boy!!!! The first sight of the place made me jump like a kid. You can see some of the pictures below but they dont do justice to the sunrise and sunset there.
As i was alone i took a female dorm so that i can make some new friends. Quickly i got freshened up and ate the delicious breakfast at the place. I couldn't meet many people as i arrived on sunday most of the people were checking out. So i left for my sightseeing after breakfast.
The weather was very good for walk with valley on one side and trees as companion. So started my journey on foot. With my favorite music the path got even more enjoyable. I visited table land, Sydney point and devrai art village. Had amazing lunch thali at famous purohit hotel. By evening i had covered 8kms of panchgani on foot. So i gave myself a little treat with pastry and coffee at CCD.
After that i went back to my zostel which was full of tourist now. The common area was buzzing with all kinds of group. I went to my room to freshen up...talked with the girls there. One person was german and was traveling india while doing her masters in delhi. We talked about indian and german culture. Then we 4-5 girls listened to some music. Suddenly we heard someone playing guitar outside. We went to see a boy playing music in common area with his friends. Everyone gathered in few minutes around him and we had a nice evening with small talks, music and great food.
Next day morning i went to parsi point and from there after having lunch took a bus back.
The whole experience though not very unique from the point of places covered and destination (i even covered some beautiful countries in europe with friends). It is still very close to my heart. Coz i could cover all the places i wanted to see, took breaks when i needed, made my own decisions and all of it gave me my share of happiness we get from travel.
So yessss it will be always close to my heart and thanks 2019 for making it possible.
