It's a Thursday evening and I was in Mysore. It was a bad week full of assignments, classes and bad food. I was super bored at night and used to sleep early. Friday when everybody is going to places I again have to stick to my house because I am totally broke and it was in class that I decided why not go to some place which is nearby. I started seeing places in and around Mysore. Whatever that pops up in Google like the Chamundi betta Mysore palace and all got bored because have been there a million times. Then I found this 3 places "Karighatta", "Kunti Betta" and "Varuna Canal" . Watching sunsets and sunrises was always my hobbies and it started with the Friday evening. I went to Varuna canal to see the sunset and it was mind blowing. Varuna canal is just few kilometres away and the place was lit. I wonder why nobody I didn't notice this place before. The sunset was so magical. The canal is quite in a height and the trains down to us. Then I decided that I surely want to see a sunrise also from here.
Now it's day 2 and I am so excited to watch the sunrise over the Varuna canal. I woke up at 5:00am and my went in my bike. I reached there and waited for the sunrise and it was a beautiful moment when the rises up above the horizon. The Colors just splashed and the feeling can't be expressed with the 25 alphabets in my keyboard. I got soaked in the sunrise and I was 💯 positive. It gave me something that can make me run for my lifetime. I was sitting there till the lights get harsh
I went back home and continue my daily routine and it's 3pm now and it's time to go to Karighatta. It was a little far that I had to fill my bike petrol for ₹200. I was on the route of Mysore - Bangloru highway. I called up 2 of my friends also because I had to finish my Short-film project. I clubbed my travel with my Short-film and we went there and again an amazing view with a vast horizon. It's not just about the view that makes the scene beautiful, it's the road we drove. It was an amazing drive that f on the bottom of Karighatta to top it's some small hairpin style turn and the roads are well tarred and maintained and there's a temple on the top of it. I can literally see the whole place from there. It was a view when the sun is still up there backlighting the coconut trees and their shadows in front. It feels like I am in some other world. The whole place gave me very good vibe. I never return from anywhere I go until the sun is completely set, but I had to leave here since my friend who had accompanied had to go early and that's one other reason I prefer to travel solo. So like yesterday when I got to see a good sunset I wanted to witness a good sunrise too and I decided to come back solo next day morning and we head home
It was early in the morning and I started my ride at 4:30 and things didn't went the way I expected since it started raining on half the way. I was soaked in rain but I felt good. It was a long time I took a ride in rain and I started enjoying every bit of it and went to Karighatta. This time the place look totally different that the small canal down there was full of water. The sun was missing as it was cloudy but still I loved and enjoyed every minute. I sat there for a while and I came back
Then I reached back home and got fresh and continued my editing work and thought of keeping my Kunti Betta to my next week since i don't want to loose my flow in editing. It was 3pm and my friends started calling my asking the place I went seeing my story in Instagram so that they can also go. Then I thought why not going to Kunti Betta with them because my bike is not in a good condition after the rain ride. So I told them and we 4 went to Kunti Betta. The way to there was good unless we reached there. After reaching there one local person there told us that the location Google shows as Kunti Betta is not the real location. We can't climb this hill from that point and with the help of him we drove to the right location (the correct location in Google map is Kunti Betta trekking start point, not the one which will pop up as Kunti Betta) Kunti was something which we had to trek and the trekking experience was awesome. It was big big rocks that we had to climb. It was totally a different experience and we all loved the place. The sunset was also amazing that the sky changed the color to magenta and I also realised one thing that the hill I saw from Karighatta was Kunti Betta and I can see Karighatta from here. I always wondered which hill is that standing from Karighatta and now I am on top of that
We returned back before it gets too dark that it will be hard to trek back down if it's dark and also the fact that animals and reptiles will start coming out when it's dark. It was an amazing weekend with full of positive vibes. If you are someone in Mysore or near, these are some must visit places and today only I planned for my trip from Mysore which is to "B R hills". It's more far that to these places and I will write about it too
