''Girls only'' tour to "The Scotland of India"

Tripoto
17th May 2018

We a gang of 11 girls made a sudden plan to visit Coorg. We had already anticipated that it would rain since Monsoon has already set in. Yet visiting during those times are such a different experiance however.

We started from Tirupati in KSRTC bus around 8 PM and reached Mysore around 6:30 AM. We started to Madikeri around 7 AM and reached around 10 AM. We had already pre-booked a Tempo Traveler and it was ready at busstand to pick us. We stayed at a Home Stay called 'Coorg Girinivas' , a 3 bed roomed house which costed around Rs 800 per person on sharing basis. Food was to be ordered from outside and was decently good.

Day 1

We started to Tala Kaveri and Bhagamandala on day 1. It had started to Drizzle and road was curvy. When we reached there, sight was beholding. All around you was covered with hills and trees.

We trekked to view point after having darshan at the Temple. At first the whole view point was covered by mist which slowly cleared after some time. Both the sights were wonderful.

Day 2

The next day, we started early to visit Dubare Elephant camp and could reach to the spot only after 1 hour of waiting as there was much rush due to weekend. There were so many phants from small to the largest and before this, we have never seen such number of elephants together at one place.

We the proceeded for River rafting, swam in waters for a bit before getting back as it started to rain heavily.

We left to a bio park after having lunch and shopping. It was raining anyways , yet still we stopped all over the place to get good look of that and take some group pictures

After this, we proceeded to much anticipated " Abbey falls ". Since there was heavy downpour, the water fall had maximum volume. We had to walk down for 2km as vehicles were stopped due to traffic.

We could unfortunately couldn't visit Golden temple as it was under renovation, Raja's seat because we reached after 6 PM which was the closing time and Mandalpatti View point.
