Goa gives its fans another reason to jump with joy and quite literally so! The Department of Tourism of Government of Goa and Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) has joined hands with Jumpin Heights, the Bungee People to bring their second Bungee destination in India in North Goa.

The Bungee jumping platform stands 55 metres or 180 feet high above the Mayem Lake in North Goa. The service provider ‘Jumpin Heights’ is a popular name, who has been providing bungee Jumping service in Rishikesh from a long time. With adventure sports gaining exponential popularity in India, the country’s favourite party destination seemed the obvious choice for the next big step.

The service providers emphasise that safety has been their top priority. The team ensures that they adhere to safety standards followed in Australia and New Zealand for bungee jumps.

The team further ensures that they have conducted the required feasibility study and other mandatory pre-requisites before the launch at Mayem. This new addition to Goa tourism comes at no added cost or investment for Goa Tourism Development Corporation. The GTDC plays the role of helping the service provider in obtaining required permissions.

The inauguration of the base site saw the Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant, grace the event. He said he was extremely happy with the efforts of Goa Tourism in developing Goa as a premium tourism destination in India, especially for adventure tourism.

The launch of Bungee Jumping led to the beautification of Mayem Lake, which further added to his joy.
