Set in an aesthetic background of calm , beautiful and buzzing beaches Goa is India's answer to a Global Party Destination more than anything else.
Although this was my third trip to Goa , this was the best of them all; mainly due to the place i chose to stay. I stayed in Vagator , a place near the Chapora Fort with a small but beautiful beach. What could match waking up to the sound of waves and a hot tea looking at the calm seas - Stuff of Poems! Really-. The place has the perks of being situated close to the "happening places " in Goa , with club Cabana , Anjuna Beach, Curlies & Thalassa in very close proximity.
Good Beach, Black Sand , Less Crowded, Very Shallow. Cheaper Shacks as compared to Baga / Anjuna. If you prefer some not so crowded place where you can enjoy a lot in the beach, Vagator is the place for you.Personally I would prefer this beach to the crowded Baga / Calangute
Anjuna is a much larger beach compared to Vagator , black sand , not that shallow. You can try water sports which are available at reasonable rates of 2,000 for two (Package of Jet Skiing,Para Sailing and banana ride) .But there are a lot of hidden charges (eg. for parasailing once you go on the boat they'll inform you that to go above a particular height you have to pay them extra 500 for the maximum). We took the parasailing only package which cost us 1200 + 700 after a bit of negotiation in the 700 part.
There are a lot of shacks in Anjuna beach the most famous among which is Curlies (quite expensive , but worth the experience if u have what u should have with you)
Speaking about Goan Night-life the first thing crossing your mind would be Club Cabana. Set in a euphoric background for ambiance , this pub would definitely wow even the hardcore night owls. Affordable charges and a decent crowd who turn up in huge numbers with a proper DJ (not the bollywood Radio Players) are add-ons in this exciting place. This is a must visit place if you are in GOA.
Needless to mention the countless restro-bars, pubs & shacks you can find if you take a drive anywhere in Goa, your nights would be sleepless and you would love it.
