Day 1

Heard a lots about Goa since childhood and so it was always in my bucketlist. On 24th Feb,2018 we started from CCU airport at 10.55AM. When we landed at Dabolim airport, Goa it was around 5PM. There is prepaid taxi counter from where anyone can hire taxis at reasonable rates. Our hotel was near Baga beach, Amoura beach resort which is closer to beach. After check-in we got fresh and headed towards beach. It was then 10PM. Baga is the famous beach in Goa and many of the famous clubs and pubs are here. Tito's lane is the place where everything is located. Most of the clubs offer everything free for ladies including food and drinks. Some well known clubs are Titos, Mambos, LPK etc etc. When we walked down to beach, it was full of crowd. Several shacks are there for candle light dinner, DJs, drinks and parties. The crowd of the shacks made the beach so lively. We chilled out there for hours along with food and drinks and moving our bodies with music.

Day 2

We went out for sightseeing. Bikes are available in plenty in very reasonable rates. Cabs are available too. GTDC and taxigo are the two cab services running there. They can also be pre-booked and so did we. I am mentioning the spots we visited: Arambol beach, Morjim beach, Vagator beach, Anjuna beach,Chapora fort, Aguada fort,Basilica of Bom Jesus(old Goa church), Se Cathedral, Santa durga temple, Dona Paula jetty and returned back to hotel. There are also few other spots like Miramar Beach, Mapusa market, Mangueshi temple, Spice Plantation (Charge of Rs.400/- per person including lunch), etc etc. They also conduct south goa tour which takes to Palolem beach, Colva beach. But those are at extreme south and takes a whole day. So we avoided those places.

Day 3

We shifted to Calangute. Checked in Estrela Do Mar Beach resort. This hotel has a private beach and also several amenities like swimming pool, billiards, carrom etc. So we booked this to get the flavor of private beach. But practically we were disappointed. There is a private way to beach but we couldn't sense except that. Live music performance was there too.

Day 5

Dudhsagar falls trip was booked. At very early morning our chauffeur arrived with a white sedan. It takes around 2 hours to reach. Collected ticket for jeep for 400 per head. Additional 50 + 20 charges were taken for entry and life jackets respectively. This jeep takes to the falls which take around 45 mins. The famous shooting plot of Chennai Express movie. After dropping near the falls it takes around 20 mins walking to reach the main point. Walking on this way to the falls is almost a rock climbing experience. There are several monkeys whom you can feed n click selfies as well. After reaching at the main point its like fairyland. A milky white water stream is continuously falling and water is so chilled. People are getting down in this water to swim and have fun. We here given 1 hour to explore. So after the trip, as it was Wednesday we decided to go at Anjuna flea market. Every Wednesday this market occurs. It started off as a “Hippie exchange” of commodities but now a full fledged market. There are few other famous markets in Goa: Saturday night Arpora market, Friday Market, Mapusa etc. If one intend to shop at these flea markets he/she should know how to bargain.
