Goa! The party capital of India.

Everyone would agree to this!I am not a party person, yet have been to goa 4 times and have loved every bit of it!

The only difference this time was, i did fly solo! ok. wait. well. yeah!

So let me take you to the other side of Goa, the side most peace lovers would love to explore!

Enroute GOAhh!

I always had this wishlist, to go on a solo vacation. The bench period did help me out for this.

So basically, like most of them out there, I am a 9-5 slave working in an XYZ "MNC" to fund my dreams. This happened in the month of May when i had no work to do(#ITlife), the only thing that stopped me from taking a vacation was the scorching heat! I was browsing through my insta feed and #goa photos popped up. It was all so cloudy over there and the weather forecast predicted light showers for the coming days. What next! The next day I put the office internet to good use and booked a tatkal ticket(#achievement). DONE! Thats all I had. No hotel bookings, no itinerary, nothing. Just me and my cam <3.

The rest of the journey i will depict through photos! I dont like writing much!(My exam answer sheets are a proof!)

Boarded a train from panvel-canacona. Reached canacona at around 2 am. All alone. All alone.

So i had no guts to step out of the station at that time, I did find an auto-rickshaw just outside the station, but the amount he quoted was equal to my entire vacation budget(not really!).

So instead I decided to stay back at the station till 5am. Then took a 45 mins walk to Palolem beach(it was scenic)

And the view at 6 a.m.

Worth it!

I quickly booked a bed in dorm(mixed dorm.you know ;) ) at Roadhouse hostels, Palolem. 399 for 2 days! wtf. Cheap and such an awesome place!

And then it was just me, my camera and goa!

That place! She sat there for hours. I went to and fro from the same place just to find her sitting there! At peace!

Came across this Netravali wildlife sanctuary while going through the 'must visit' places in south goa. Trust me, its not worth it. Few photos though!

Now the next place is a must must visit if you are in south goa.

Cola beach...

Had to risk a bit for this shot!

You have to climb down a bit to reach this beach. Its less crowded and too beautiful. Backwaters are a big plus point to this place.

Chill!

Few sunset shots to end.

Time to leave!

On the final day, I got a local bus from palolem to margao(kmt bus stand). Booked a bus from there till Mumbai at the very last moment. Had a couple of hours to spare, last few photos from margao!

Malgudi days!

That summed up my first ever solo trip!

Solo trips are so very diiferent(in a positive way). But the sad part is when you talk about going solo, there would be a bunch of people who'll be appreciating you by heart and the rest(majority), you know FU*$%#!!!!

I would say just trust yourself, go on! (watch #dilchahtahai, #dildhadaknedo for additional confidence)

You get to learn a lot about yourself on a solo trip. You plan/manage everything on your own. Its a great learning experience.

The biggest advantage which i had was, being a hobbyist photographer, i never got time to click pictures the way i wanted to,instead, I ended up being personal photographer of the entire group :P (not complaining bhai log). This time though,I got to explore a lot and click a lot of photos the way i wanted to! :D

Trust me, all the hobbyist photographers out there! Solo trip would be the best thing to bring out the photographer in you! You will get a lot of time to think, frame and shoot as and when you want to!

So that's it. My first ever solo trip. GOA. A suugestion would be explore places during the start of off-season. This way you will end up getting cheap deals on accomodations plus it would be les crowded(more peaceful) :)

Oh wait, let me showoff myself a bit. So here's a bit of me!

Couple goals!
