Early Morning at Morjim Beach

It Was a weekend getaway in search of serenity !! Goa has always been a place to party . Endless food, drinks, music and endless nights. We always miss out to see the other side of this place. So, this time I planned to stay away from all of these and thought of exploring the unseen Goa. I took a bus from Bangalore to Goa - Panaji. Reached Panaji by 10AM , hired a 2 wheeler and headed to Morjim which is 28 kms (60 -90mis) from Panaji. I reached hotel La conceicao Grande Oyo rooms- Morjim around 11.30PM . The hotel was 300mts from the beach. Morjim beach is the very clean beach with less crowd. I spent the day at the beach relaxing and enjoying some Goan fish foods . Headed to Agonda fort by two wheeler, 23kms( 60mins) from Morjim.

Day 1

Evening at the hill top where cliff meets the ocean. It was around 5PM in the evening, went and stood at the peak of Agonda hill. Sun was setting down, the blue ocean was dressed with the orange rays of sun. It felt like ocean and sun saying goodbye to each other and spreading the rays of love & hopes of meeting again next morning !!Then I walked down the hill to the rocky beach . It was truly worth draining the energy and getting down the hill to the ocean.

Later, It was some shopping time at Saturday Market at Baga, which was 10 kms (25mins) from Agonda fort. After some two three rounds at the market, I finally picked up some beautiful accessories (which i always love wearing ), the collections of beach cloths , accessories and show pieces are always amazing at Goa market. Took a night walk at the beach side and headed back to the hotel.

Day 2

Being a morning person , I never want to miss the sunrise at the beach. Next day, I woke up and walked to the beach. It was so calm, sat there for sometime and took a long walk. While passing by i could see three Russians and an elderly Indian doing Yoga and Meditation. I just went and stood next to them. The elderly Indian wh0 was teaching yoga, offered me to join. I joined them and enjoyed the meditation with sound of waves and stretching the body with rays of sun. The feeling was out of the world.

After the yoga & meditation. I walked with him to the yoga center. He spoke so much about Indian culture, Indian diet & how is he living his peaceful time in Goa. And he gave me a book called "A hand book of pranayog & Naturopathy - by O.P.Manak (Authored by him). It is delightful to meet new people while traveling and learn new things from them. I went back to the beach & sat in a shack facing the ocean and started reading the book. Reading by the beach especially the book with these content is pure bliss

I went back to the hotel in the after noon, rested for sometime and went down to the pool in the evening. The hotel staffs were so polite and helpful. They served me Maggie by the pool side and I spent the evening at the pool with cool breeze. It was time to pack up. Did checkout and headed to Goa airport which is 50kms - 1Hr 30 mins from Morjim. On the way at Panaji I returned the 2 wheeler , took a cab to the airport.

The weekend get away (Bangalore - Goa) Budget travel breakup would be , Bangalore to Panaji bus fare - 800 - 1000Rs | If you are considering flight option (to save your time and energy ) It would cost 1500 - 2000Rs one way with prior booking | 2 wheeler on rent 350 - 400Rs/day | Stay at a comfortable hotel - 2000 - 2500Rs 2 nights stay | Food - 1000Rs approx(without alcohol) | Panaji to Goa airport taxi 700 - 1000Rs | . If you are planning for a getaway from the city life with short period of time and if you want to do a budget travel, you can always think of Goa as an option too. Its an adventure to travel for unexplored :)
