GOA With My Girls :D

It was a long due trip with the two of my best friends from college, one would remember those Goa trips that would get cancelled how many times before you are finally there with your gang. This trip was one of them and finally after 5 years passed out from college it happened to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better one than this.

It was a short 3-day trip and we had stayed pretty much in north Goa itself. The soul purpose being to be with each other after so long and enjoy to the fullest. I started from Delhi and my friends from Bangalore via flights to reach Goa in the morning and got our cabs right outside the airport where you can find many options to avail private cab service. One can also book cabs through an app called Goa miles, but it wasn’t much of difference in fare for us to our hotel which was near Anjuna-Baga road. Reaching the hotel, we got freshened up and found scotty from a nearby vendor. Depending upon which part of Goa you are staying the rates may vary between 250-600. It might go upto 700 as well if you are visiting in peak seasons i.e between October to January.

We went to Anjuna beach and as it was around 4 in the evening and fortunately, we were right on time to try water sports like banana boat, parasailing etc. Since, I am afraid of heights one of my friend tried parasailing and, in her words, “it was worth it”. That amazing view of the setting sun would want you to go for it. Of course, if you are way too afraid of water and heights just sit on shacks there and relax, which the two of us did :p The cost of parasailing was around Rs 800/person.While heading back to our hotel we stopped by to do some street shopping from Anjuna street market and bought booze for the night.

The beauty of the location that we stayed in was every party place that you possibly hear is famous in Goa was within 5km of radius. We started with Tito’s lane and one by one visited all the pubs there, our personal favourite was Club Mambo’s. With the music , good food and drinks there was a pole dance booth for the ladies. It was like found love for us three girls, we hopped on the pool dance stage and rocked the party there. In club mambo’s entry for ladies is free so all girls reading this just pack your bags right away. Off to road again , we went to Baga beach and sat at the famous shack “ Anthony’s”. Round this time of the year we have tables set up with candles on the beach side just near the shore, it is the perfect date kind of place for the couples. We ate and just roamed about the shore singing songs and the heels in our hands, mesmerised by the lightning at all the shacks along the shore line towards our left and the never ending sea shore towards our right. It was a total bliss for us.

Having had our share of fun at the Baga beach we headed towards Club Cabana. It’s a short jeep ride to the club from where we parked our vehicle, just adding to the fun about to get started. A dim lighting as you enter with the stair way leading to the bar area and it is also lined up with exquisite white beds , of course it’s really helpful for the time when you are so drunk that it’s hard to get up :p From Baga it was just 3.6 km ride for us, as I already mentioned the location of our stay was amazing and everything was nearby, one surely doesn’t want to waste time in travelling. In Cabana you can enjoy unlimited drinks as there is an entry charge for ladies as well as couple. For couple it cost’s 3k , one thing to note is boys aren’t allowed to enter as stag. One needs to buy food there because that’s not covered in the entry charges. This was end of our second day and at around 4 am we went back to our hotel. The morning of the third day was to bidding good bye to Goa with so many memories to cherish for the lifetime. Our hotel staff helped in getting us a cab for airport. It was a trip to remember for lifetime for us and hope you guys too make such great memories when you plan your trip next after reading my blog.

See ya!!!byee

Note: Few things might differ depending upon the time of the year you are visiting. The hotel we stayed in was The Sea horse hotel, Anjuna-Baga road, I would rate it between 2.5 to 3 on an average including everything that was provided. If you have a budget then you can go for better one in the same area.

Tired, as it had been a long day for us, we decided to chill in the pool within the hotel premises and enjoyed some wine. There was a good restaurant named “Rasa” just around the corner from where we stayed and the food, drinks as well as the music was awesome. The next morning we started our day with relaxing in the pool and then off to road on our way to the next destination, the famous Chappora fort where that awesome “Dil chahta hai” movie moment has been captured. Earlier the path to the fort use to be uneven and filled with slippery pebbles but now a stair case way has been created. One can park their vehicles at the parking area which you can easily spot while you are about to reach the Fort. Then there is a walk ahead and on that path to the fort you can buy many souvenirs for your loved ones to take home like fridge magnets, dream catchers, hats , artificial jewellery etc. After enjoying the magnificent view of the beach from the fort and capturing it on camera ,we headed towards Vagator beach and sat on the shack while enjoying the view. Reached back to our hotel and started getting ready for the club night.
