The Reis Magos Fort in Bardez is the oldest fort of Goa. The route to this destination made me feel as if I was in a video game because it tails the coastline. I felt relaxed to the sound of waves crashing against the rocky shore and the rustling of the coconut palms swaying in the breeze. The fort is adjacent to a crisp white church which provides a perfect contrast. The bright red-roofed houses complementing the cloudy weather reminded me of the paintings I made as a toddler. The Reis Magos Fort was restored by the government of Goa in 2012 and serves as a cultural and heritage center now.
