With super views of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal Ranges, and with mountain adventures beckoning from all directions, Manali is a year-round magnet for tourists.

Me and my friends arrived at Manali in morning after 14 hrs tiring Bus journey. But, as we got down from the bus, the view of snow covered peaks rejuvenated our bodys and spirits. We headed towards our hotel 'Khushboo Resort'. After we freshened up and had sumptuous breakfast it was time to dooz off.

We prebooked a cab for local sightseeing which arrived at 2PM for pickup. It took us to Hadimba Temple a.k.a. the Dhungri Temple which is made of ancient wood and stone. In temple premises you'll see the localites carrying angora rabbits with which u can get a pic clicked for 20 bucks.

Then we headed towards a small Tibetan community just south of the town centre. The Himalayan Nyingmapa Buddhist Temple contains a two-storey statue of Sakyamuni, the historical Buddha. You can have some quiet time just soaking in the spiritual ambience of the monastery.

Thereafter, we went to the Van Vihar Park which is adorned with a towering grove of magnificent deodars on the banks of River Beas. Walking amidst the nature park with dense canopy enjoying the nippy mountain air was amazing. We spent rest of the evening sitting on the banks of River Beas embracing nature's beauty.

Then we went to the mall road for some snacks. The shops lined in the mall road are quintessential for a tourist town with money exchangers, souvenirs, artifacts, apparels and restaurants that serve to every palate. We had Momos, Pani-Puri, roasted sweet corns and walked back to hotel.

Next day we took a day trip to Solang Valley. Many adventure sports enthusiasts from all over the world visit the valley for trekking, paragliding, rafting and skiing. We opted for High-Paragliding, Snow Rafting and Yak safari. Best of all was paragliding. The breathtaking view of the mountains and the valley from above made me speechless. We spent whole day playing with snow, eating maggie, and reveling each moment. We returned to hotel tired by the day's excursion.

On third day we went to Kullu and Naggar where we visited the Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery, The castle, Himalayan research institute, and a waterfall. We also did some shopping at Trishla Shawl Factory. Atlast we took the Volvo for Delhi and returned  with happy contemplation of what had been a truly fantastic trip.
