It was Friday , Rainy season. Tired of working the entire week, The inner voice kept on popping up with the idea of going out for ride. But on the other side mind kept saying: Don't go out as it is pouring rain and thunder and not a safe thing to ride your Motorcycle in such weather conditions.
Well , Who cares .. Once you're a true biker and Traveller , Nothing can stop you . You've to take that trip once the inner voice has said it ..
Next morning, took out some cash out of the ATM , Refuelled my Tank and started the engine and immediately my face was filled with a Grin , Yes , The Trip is Happening .
After leaving Pune early morning at 7 am , i made my first stop near Kolhapur , Refuelled and had a small Break and was back on NH4 . Roads were superb .. It was such fun to ride this beautiful bike on such roads and to top it all , what a beautiful weather !! with cold breeze ,not so sunny and Drizzling all the way . I was enjoying every bit of it . A sense of peace and tranquility was there .
Time for second Chai stop .. Yes I'm chai lover and my Day doesn't start without chai. Soon after leaving , next City is Dharwad and after few kms from Dharwad , you've to take a diversion heading towards the coastal line which connects you to Karwar , Gokarna , Murudeshwar and Mangalore and so on.
Weather was really amazing and the Roads amidst the Ankola jungle were amazing and very minimal traffic . It was still Raining though .
After Ankola , I headed towards Gokarna , Roads were not that great thereafter. Somehow i managed to reach Gokarna. parked my bike and took a walk down the cliff and what i could see was a beautiful beach with fine sand and huge clouds ,Rocks , rain, thunder and lightening . What a sight !!
Well some might say , That's not a ideal timing to visit a beach , But Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder . So True.
I was all wet , despite wearing rain gear, My shoes were filled with water. With all the riding gears on , i was looking like an alien and people were staring at me. I picked up a Table with a nice view by the Beach at the restaurant , Took off my shoes and Riding gears and it was just me and the nature and feeling of inner peace . For This exact feeling is , why we Ride . I was enjoying the view every minute by minute with no disturbance and as if i was on a Noise Cancellation Mode .
As you can see , It was past sunset and was getting Dark . I had no accommodation sorted , so i decided to head back to Karwar and make a stay there .
I got a nice room near beach , woke up early Morning and took a walk to the Karwar beach .
It was still Gloomy atmosphere as there was no sun , drizzling and Huge clouds , But it had a Beauty of its own . It was very pleasant experience .
I have visited this beach in summer time as well and it looks equally beautiful even now. Had tea and pakoda , played with the Dogs on the Beach. And my soul was content and filled with peace and happiness .
Soon i had to head back to Hotel and pack my things and i was on my way back to Pune with so many beautiful memories and wet Riding gears. My mind was still stuck there in that beautiful beach as though nature had done some magic on me .
Well , I reached Back home safe. Trip came to and end But the Journey continues .
