Hitchhiking- The Mighty Himalayas

There is something about this journey that makes me want to go back to those mountains again. Maybe the fear of the unknown has left me now for I’ve risked it all, living in a small tent for nights in the pitch black darkness with winds too cold that they’ll send a chill down your spines, or walking for hours on deserted roads, not sure when I’ll see another living being or rather when the journey will end. I saw kindness in the eyes of those who let me hop on to their trucks, I found friendship in people whom I never knew in my life and many more that I’d have otherwise missed out if I stayed back in my comfort zone. I believe, or rather now I know, that travelling teaches me to conquer my fears and learn more about ourselves. Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go.
