Started my journey from New Delhi Railway Station . Distance between Gwalior and New Delhi is approx 300KM. Took New Delhi- Bhopal Shatabdi express train no 12002 from New Delhi in the morning @6 AM . Being the Fastest Shatabdi of Indian railways , this train takes only 3.5hr to cover this 300 KM. Other trains normally takes 4.5hr to 5hr . Reached Gwalior by 10 Am so I have entire day to visit famous places . One thing to note that most of the tourist places are inside Gwalior fort campus hence plan your trip accordingly for visiting all places in the fort campus. It will take entire day . Ola cabs are also available in Gwalior .Public transport( shared autos) are easily available in Gwalior at a very reasonable price .
Below are the famous historic places in Gwalior .
Gwalior Fort , Man Mandir Palace ,Tansen Tomb , Teli Ka Mandir ,Saas Bahu Temple , Sun Temple , Gwalior Trade Fair ,Gurudwara Data Bandi Chhod.
You can follow this route for travelling .
Day 1 :Railway Station- Sun Temple - Gwalior trade fair .
Day 2: Gwalior Fort and all the historic places inside Fort Campus .
As I am writing for Day 1 hence proceeding with Day 1 .
Being a city in Madhya Pradesh ,Gwalior is also famous for food . You can enjoy Poha , Kachauri and other food items .
Take a shared auto from Railway station to Sun temple . It will take 30 mint to reach Sun temple.
Temple visit is free of cost and 2hr is required to visit entire campus .

. Since I have started my day very early in the morning hence I was feeling quite tired . Booked a room in the hotel near railway station . You will easily get rooms in approx 600-800 INR for single occupancy.
Now it was time to visit Madhavrao Scindia Vyapar Mela . Distance is approx 2 KM from Railway station and it cost me 5 rs in Gwalior City bus .This event is organised in a very big ground . It will take your entire day if you will try to visit all the corners. It decided to visit only some places hence adjusted within 5 hr . Below are some pics .
Ended my day around 10 PM and returned back to Hotel .
Day 2:Started my day around 9 AM in the morning . Now it was time to visit Gwalior fort . It will take you 30-45 mints to reach Gwalior fort entry gate from Railway Station .
Most of the famous historical places of Gwalior are in Gwalior fort campus . Many Bollywood movies and songs have been filmed here i.e Bulave tujhe aaja meri Gaaliyan song from Luka Chupi movie.
