No place has so tranquilizing effect, enchanting peace like Hampi does.. I have almost been 4 times to Hampi.. 3 times with friends and one time Solo.. There is lot to explore in Hampi. The boulders, The ruins, Peace. I Reached Hampi through KSRTC airavat from Hyderabad which takes 7 hours. Other option being the Hospet station which is well connected on the south western railway network. The best part of staying in Hampi is the clean and affordable stay. With very basic amenities one can get a room for two for a minimum of 250 per day in off season. My stay was in Herman Guest house which is very close to the Virupaksha temple. One can hire a bike or bicycle for a minimum of 150 per day. Bullet for 300-500. The breakfast at the PRINCE restaurant was very good, not to miss the glass full of Ice lemon tea. The lunch at Mango Tree.. This is an awesome place by the riverside to engage yourself in tranquility with some delicious Indian Thali along with mango lassi. Once I satiated my taste buds, it was almost 4PM, not knowing where to head next, I decided to walk along the river all the way to the Vitthala temple. It was a great sunset from the vitthala temple.. Sitting along the river midst of boulders and watching the sunset, without the worldly illusion and just one thought plying through my mind, it ain't that difficult to attain the trance of PEACE.. The next one day I loitered around Hampi, Sanapur lake, Virupapur gadde.. Even though it was 4th time I was seeing those ruins, it appeared I came here first time and the enchanting continued.. Planning next in Monsoon this year.. Boulders and more.. Will be back in Hampi..

The ambiance along with some delicious food by the riverside..
Simple living with basic amenities..
