We had been quite a batch in the college days hanging out in the hostels and some bike rides in those days. Every one has been busy in their own career ever since the college days ended. some even started their marital life!! We all had never been together for 5 long years. So here came an opportunity since I was set to pursue my masters. I was all set to leave the country for 2 years and may be longer, so I decided to catch up with old pals! We made a plan and this time, It worked well!!

Day 1

A full day's journey plus almost half night's travel was needed to meet up these thugs. And I took the train early in the morning so that I could cover up as much distance as I could before I get tired. It was a break journey. I reached Hubballi by train till noon and from there I had booked a bus till Pune, Maharashtra. It was great that the plan improvised and I got to meet my good friend Vaishnavi at Hubballi as she's put up there for her graduation.

After I met her and had chat over lunch, I was refreshed enough and soon boarded the bus that left to Pune.

By mid night after exhaustive journey, I reached Pune. By that time, guys had already booked a self driven car from Drivezy! they came to pick me up. Now this! we could not go home and sleep!! We still had two of our thugs yet to reach. We all got together at 4 in the morning and signed off for the day soon!

Day 2

Still drowsy, we woke up at 7. Only this time, our alarm was a parrot!! Yes you heard it right! This parrot visits my friend's house at Hadapsar, Pune, everyday! And that's not all. He speaks to us in human language. All without training!!

After our daily rituals, we all buckled up for a long drive. To Thamini ghats, via Lonavala, A round trip. And yeah, don't forget to taste some Chikki in Lonavala which is very famous. Don't imagine our lokal chikki, these guys are whole lot of variants. Chocolate flavoured, malai(milk cream) flavour, strawberry, Chocolate fudge, strawberry fudge, bla bla bla... what not!! You can also buy some to take home.

We took a tea-Snack break at some street vendor and had our breakfast. Energised, we continued our drive. As we were closing in, the moisture in the air increased, with it, our excitement! Slowly it started drizzling. The lush green increased. We all lost our tardiness and were with all the focus around so as to what comes next!

Sight of tiger valley was astonishingly vast and sheer depth. Big, long water falls here and there!

There was so much mist that people sitting in a little distance were not visible till we went close enough. Trust me it's a place for couple, for family and for young who like adventure like us!

Willing to run into the vast, moist and lush valley!

It started raining soon. So we wanted something hot, tangy and spicy. I chose to eat Maize! freshly prepared and added vinegar!

After the rain resided, we continued our journey. Looking around, driving, we entered the premises of Thamini ghat without noticing! Here are some photos that speak. You feel like being somewhere in Scotland looking at them!

There was an antique bridge and a river flowing with a rush noise. This made my day. I found the inner peace by the river!

Enjoying the peaceful moment..

It was lunch time after this and we were so hungry, it was our luck that we found a stall beside the bridge, and just ran in!

After loading, we fastened our seat belts again! back from thamini ghats. This time heavy rain hindered our speed. But slow and steady, we made progress towards Mulshi lake.

Heavy rains on the way back!

Then we reached Mulshi lake. A huge lake that seems like almost a river. In a restaurant beside the lake, we had our dinner and enjoyed the lake view. The rain resided by the time we finished our dinner, and that's when we concluded our drive and headed back to home. The journey back seemed so long, it seemed for ever at a point of time. Perhaps it was because we were exhausted. Any ways. Let's meet in a new trip, new place and a new day!

Bye bye!
