Diwali : Best Time To Travel

Tripoto

Deepawali or Diwali is certainly the biggest and the brightest of all Hindu festivals. It's the festival of lights (deep = light and avali = a row i.e., a row of lights) that's marked by five days of celebration, which literally illumines the country with its brilliance, and dazzles all with its joy. Also it is the best time to travel.

The favorite month of the year for travellers is here. Many people are travelling to various tourist destinations, many have already prepared to go for a trip, many are still planning to go and some are still confused between whether to go or not? And if yes then go to where?

Folks, this is not the time to think, it’s time to Travel. It’s a different thing that not everyone can afford to travel to famous tourist destinations and foreign countries. Also people have other plans and busy schedule during this festival time. They can also utilize their vacation time by visiting any nearby places. It doesn’t matter whether you visit any famous destination or go to any nearby place as far as you get the joy of travelling. So, what if one can’t visit Switzerland, Shimla or Goa, One can always explore the beauty of his/her hometown first. And if you are planning to visit your Grand parent’s or any relative’s home, try to visit local famous places instead of wasting your time watching TV and playing games. According to me every city or place has its own uniqueness. And like people, cities also have souls. You can find it only if you try to know the city well. One can visit nearby temples, hill stations, gardens, sanctuaries, river banks, lakes, old religious monuments, forts & palaces, markets, museums, beaches, dam sites or any place where you can find yourself close to nature.

Traveling is not just about spending money to visit popular places, stay in luxurious hotels and high expense on food and shopping. It’s not always about going to beautiful places; sometimes visiting a desert land can also give you the same excitement and joy of travel. Sometimes it’s just the silence which looks more beautiful than noise of popular but crowded places. Imagine that feeling of wandering in unknown land, the excitement of meeting new people, the happiness while tasting different cuisines and the amusement of experiencing various cultures and traditions!

For me traveling is the experience to learn, to feel and to explore. When life becomes monotonous, you get bored from the routine, it’s necessary to travel, to rejuvenate, refresh and fill your life with new energy and joy. You might find the answers of some of your problems, and the experience of lifetime might change you forever.

There is a famous Chinese saying “Even the longest journey starts from a small step”. So, this Diwali vacation if you can’t go to Shimla or Switzerland, make your nearby place, "your Shimla". And rather than celebrating Diwali in same boring way this time go for a trip with family, friends and loved ones.

Enough of talking now! Pack your bags and Travel. Happy Journey!
