Clear blue waters with amazing snorkelling. There's a small reef adjoining the island and you're almost certain to see sea turtles feeding 20 feet off the shore. Stay is basic with one bucket of fresh water made available to you every day (fresh water has to be brought in by boat). The place is two hours from Apo Reef where there is some incredible diving.

Puerto Princesa is a small town. It's easy to hire a bike and ride around. The Crocodile Conservation Center is not worth your time! Had a good time with some locals at a bar called Kinabuch's.

The place is full of tourists. Many people we met loved this place but it was definitely not our favourite. We did a couple of dives. The diving usually is supposed to be quite spectacular but we got unlucky with choppy seas and not that great visibility.

This was the highlight of our trip. A three day expedition in the Palawan region. It commenced with a hike through the jungle to the river. The rest of the day was spent on bamboo raft floating down the river. The night was spent at a farmer's hut and the next day we continued down the river in small row boats. Spent the next day and night on a little beach that we had all to ourselves. The last part of the journey was slightly disrupted due to an imminent typhoon in the region so no boats were being allowed into sea so we visited an Cowrie island in Honda Bay before parting ways.

We allowed ourselves one day at a fancy-ish hotel. It being our honeymoon after all!
Purely for transit.
