What inspiration are you waiting for to visit Spiti Valley?

Well! you have hit a bulls eye. How about if I say a couple can travel to spiti valley in just 16K for 9 Days.

Must be wondering how. Well let me tell you we did it, me and my partner in crime did this in this September.

We both are working in corporate firms separately and so we planned it accordingly. We work in a 5 days working company so we took a 5 days off officially and thought to use our Saturday and Sunday before the official week off and the same weekend well utilized.

We booked a bus two weeks in advance from red bus app (Semi Sleeper A/C).

The journey of 13 Hrs begins from New Delhi to Manali at 9 PM Friday night. Here we reached Manali the launch pad to SPITI VALLEY - Valley of deserted mountains. We stayed in Old Manali for the night and woke up early Morning at 4 AM packed and ran to board HPTC Bus to KAZA at 6PM. Now let me tell you frankly it’s really a bumpy ride to KAZA (a middle point to all the travel able areas in Sipti with highest petrol pump) of another 13 Hrs after Manali.

Reached the beautiful deserted mountain range at 6pm in kaza, and looked for stay. After exploring home stays we got a place to crash in for 2 days.

Kaza is a small village with approx. radius of 2KMs with a wonderful food in The Himalayan cafe. Kaza is the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Sipti Valley in the western Himalayas.

We stayed there for 2 days and rented a bike Royal Enfield as off season @1200. Went for a ride on all the famous landmarks of Sipti like- key monastery, Hikkim, Tabo which is trekker’s fantasy, Pin Valley only place with some flora and fauna, Dankar lake, Komic – the highest motarable village at height of 18,000 ft., Kibber- a fossil village.

Hey now! the journey back to Manali begins early morning 4:30 AM in a HPTC bus Kaza to Manali. After another 13 Hrs of bumpy ride we reached back to Manali and enjoyed the majestic valley of pine trees.

We rented a Stay in Old Manali on Manu temple road named as Timberwolves Cottage which costed us Rs.500 per day. Now, what to say about the place MANALI, you already know how magnificent this place is. We went for mall road and roam in sanctuary park for hrs, Jogni Falls a beautiful waterfall with a beautiful view of Manali. Trekking up the hill was a bit task but with that view it was worth it. After spending 3 nights we headed back to New Delhi in a Merc Volvo at 6 PM.

Here i am sharing my itinerary:
