I dare You, if you can dream with open eyes..............:-) Trust me you dont even want to try, until you visit Leh. Statement of Caution: LEH is not for Honeymooners! Your "Just Married" sign will be converted to "Just Fought" Hehehehehehe :-) When i try to write about LEH, i have so many words to describe like Mesmerizing, Breathless, Spiritual, Heavenly etc etc..But these words are not enough. You simply cannot put words to describe LEH. Its like disregard to that place. Still i would try my best to put it in words ( But don't go by it, visit LEH). So we finally started after many If's and But's from Mumbai and to Delhi by flight and then to Kushok Bakula Rimpochhe Airport (LEH). Flying over the Gigantic and Heavenly mountains, touching sky, i could believe, what could be coming next. So we land to LEH Airport amidst lot of curiosity and happiness. Kushok Bakula Rimpochhe Airport (LEH) airport is in Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is one of the highest airports in the world at 3,256 m (10,682 ft) above mean sea level. The airport is maintained by the military and named after the Venerable Kushok Bakula Rinpoche, whose 19th Incarnation was an important Indian and Ladakhi Statesman.(Courtesy Wikipedia) Immediatly after landing we took the local taxi to find and reach our shelter. It took us 1 hour to search the best option for stay and trust me did find the stay which we could call the ONE. CAUTION: Please take enough rest for the day when you reach LEH, as you get less oxygen and need to get acclimatize to enjoy. Being LEH, at an High altitude chances are, you may suffer from AMS :-( Finally, after lots of rest and acclimatization, we planned our days ahead. Our Plan included to cover (2nd Day) Alchi MONESTRY, PATHER SAHIB, BAGSU MONESTRY DISTANCE, SANGAM Nadi on Srinagar-Leh Highway (NH-1D), (3rd Day) NUBRA VALLEY, KHARDUNGLA AND Hunder on LEH- Nubra Road, (4th Day) HEMIS, THIKSHEY, Stok MONESTRY on Manali-Leh Highway, (5th Day) Pangong-Tso Lake and (6th Day) Tso Moriri Lake. 7th Day to leave for Srinagar via Leh-Srinagar Highway. The Journey which we had chosen was surly going to be Adventurous, Exciting and Enchanting we had anticipated, but we did not anticipate it will be life changing too.
