Visakhapatnam is a city surrounded by ocean on side and mountains on remaining sides. Bordering with chattisgarh and odisha, this steel city is one of the most cleanest city in India. I visited vizag in this holi weekend. Travelling through train was a risky mode during Corona times but i chose it as the timing was suited . Here is my whole trip and how i did it in 2 days.
Day 1 . Reached in the morning 6 am. Whole transportation in city was through cab. Except for the Vizag city tour package i had booked with the andhra pradesh tourism . Hotel i booked was at beach road near RK beach. Waking up with sea view is such a blessing. My sugettion would to have a bit budget for hotel and book a room with sea view. I had booked Vizag city tour package.. it covered
1) simanchalam temple
2) aircraft meusem
3)submarine meusem
4)vishaka meuseum
5) kailashgiri temple.
After tour, i spent evening on the RK beach and it was just splendid. Expect a heavy crowd in evening.
As it was the second and last day of my solo trip, i spent first half of the day visiting dolphin light house and yarada beach. Both are quite at a distance from main city. If you wish to visit these two spots. You need to keep atleast 4 hours in hand. For Evening i had chosen CMR Central mall as it was the biggest in vizag and best place to visit if you like visiting malls.
TIP:- Beware of cab drivers trying to offer you a tour of city. They may charge over normal fare. If you are booking a cab for tour, have a clarity of all charges.
