I thought I was a beach person until I visited this place.

Day 1

Our plan for Mussoorie was very spontaneous and undecided. We just happened to be in dire need of a vacation and zeroed in on Mussoorie for a quick trip. To avoid the weekend traffic we decided to leave on Thursday night on a long weekend.

It was the month of March and the weather there seemed so pleasant. We took a night train from NDLS to Dehradun and continued to Mussoorie by local Cab that are available right at the exit of Dehradun railway station.

To save ourselves the hassle of running here and there in search of room we had prebooked our stay. We rested our feet for sometime and post lunch we were out exploring the beautiful city.

We got a taxi from the taxi point and embarked on our journey to Kempty falls. The pre-determined route includes Kempty falls, Santura Devi temple and Buddhist monastery.

Day 2

Day 2 we started early. Our room being right in front of the Cable car line, post breakfast we decided to take a ride in it first. We were taken to Gun Hill point by the Cable car. It was exhilarating to see the white peaks of Himalayas peeking in between the hills.

Post that we moved towards Lal Tibba - a step closer to the Himalayas to view the sunset. While on our return journey we took a diversion and stopped at Landour for some refreshment and some baked goods from the famous Landour Bakehouse.

And that's how I fell in love with the Mountains. The greenery, the cold winds, the no sunscreen fuss all of it made the trip even more pleasant.
