Auli has India's longest cable car or rope way with the total length of 4 km. The rope way of Auli runs from Joshimath to Auli . However, this will not remain number one in couple of years as the Central Government has approved the similar project for Pangi Valley, Chamba, Himachal Pradesh.
The 21.4 kilometer is the only one in India that will connect many mountain peaks of Pangi Valley. The proposed Rope Way will be constructed from foothill of Sach Pass to Pregran hills (opposite to killar ) of Pangi Valley. This project will connect the adventure Valley of India round -the -year and will give the connectivity to this Valley even in winter.
