Indian Mountaineer Scales Australia’s Highest Peak on the Festival of Holi

Bhawna Dehariya is a successful mountaineer with a zeal to conquer new heights. She recently added the highest mountain peak in Australia, Mount Kosciuszko, to her list of accomplishments.

Mount Kosciuszko is at a height of 2,228 metres and is considered to be a difficult summit. Bhawna, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, successfully managed to accomplish this feat during Holi this year. She had added Mount Everest and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to her list of achievements last year.

While speaking to the press about her achievements, Bhawna said that she was fortunate enough to have celebrated two popular Indian festivals at mountain peaks. She scaled Mount Kilimanjaro during Diwali last year.

Bhawna is pursuing her Masters in Physical Education. After completing her summit, she thanked Chief Minister, Kamal Nath, for motivating her to attempt the challenging climb. She is not just an inspiration to aspiring mountaineers but also to countless people who want to keep making their dreams come true. She is also among the few women from India to have achieved this feat.
