Indrahar Pass is one of the most visited and stunning treks of Dhauladhars and you reach and impressive altitude of 4350 meters over the snowbound Dhauladhar range. Rated as moderate path, this trek will take you through green pastures, dense Deodar and Rhododendron forests. You will get spectacular views of sacred peak of Mani Mahesh Kailash and the snow-covered Pir Panjal Range to the north while to the south you can see the amazing Indian plains till the far horizon. Trekking on this route will offer an ultimate adventurous experience as this trek comprises of continuous climbing often over boulders. Initially, this trek begins with a steady climb through the Himalayan region and turns into a steep climb. You will experience walking through rich wildlife areas and witness wild goats, leopard and Monal bird. The best season to visit this trek is between mid May to June and September to mid October. This enthralling journey will take you through the scenic marvels and opulent beauty of the Himalayan Ranges. Passing mostly through the Dhauladhar Range of the Himalayas, the trek gets over within 4 days and offers ample of challenges and difficulties. In addition to explore and discover the natural beauty and the fascinating charm of the high Indrahar Pass, the trekkers will also get to explore and enjoy camping around the Lahesh Caves on their way. The panoramic views of Dhauladhar and other Himalayan peaks are the add-ons of this astounding trek. The most popular trek on the pass is a go to and come back because a lot of foreign tourists have their luggage at McLeodganj. Then there are those who pass the cross over to Chamba.

Day No: 1 MCLEODGANJ TO TRIUND (9 KMS. / 5 - 6 HOURS):

You'll gain over a kilometer in altitude, from McLeodganj (1750 mtrs) to Triund (2850 mtrs). This is a well marked trail for most times and takes around 5-6 hours to reach to Triund top. We start in the morning at around 9 am and reach Triund by late afternoon. We'll get snack shops on the way to Triund. It is a very popular route for weekend trekkers and first timers.

Day No: 2 TRIUND TO LAKA GOT / LAHESH CAVES (5 KMS / 4 HOURS):

We trek from Triund to Lahesh Caves (3500 mtrs.) in the morning. We pass through Snowline Cafe (1 Hour from Triund) and Laka Got at another one hour. We camp inside the caves (outside if no place available). We cannot move beyond Lahesh Caves after afternoon as weather and terrain may get risky.

Day No: 3 LAHESH CAVES TO INDRAHAR PASS AND BACK TO LAKA GOT (8-9 KMS / 6-7 HOURS):

It is steep climb on a rocky route. This will be the hardest day of the trek depending on the weather. We get magnificent views from the Indrahar Pass top (4300 meters). After brief stay at top we climb down and trek back to Laka Got.

Day No: 4 LAKA GOT TO MCLEODGANJ (12 KMS / 4 HOURS):

We trek back through the same route crossing Triund. The trek down will be a lot faster than the climb. We reach McLeodganj by late afternoon.

The trek costs INR 2500/- PER PERSON PER DAY (negotiable for large groups) inclusive of all taxes, all meals, all leisure activities and trekking equipment.
