Un-jaded at Jade Hills

After a hectic job search in Dubai (FYI which was unsuccessful) I wanted a break, desperately. After a long wait we finally decided an escapade to Coorg also known as Switzerland of India. I made a thorough research for places to stay (even after I had stayed many times in coorg and got screwed royally) and decided upon this place The Jade Hills. Its a quaint little homestay, nestled on hills of Galibeedu village run and managed by warm individuals namely Mr. Prasanna and Mr. Bopanna. We reached Madikeri at around 4.30 pm. After a long drive from Goa, we were hungry as there were very few options in Sulia. After reaching Madikeri we had our fill at a restaurant and again proceeded to our humble stay. On arrival we were greeted by their domestic help Mr. Ganesha and his mother. After unloading our baggage and breathing in the sight and sounds of the place we decided to do some local sight seeing. We were just 18 kms from the town so we decided to see the Raja seat and also have a ride of the toy train. As the night descended the sights and sounds of the place changed the air became cold and the sounds of the birds were replaced by that of crickets!! After having a cold water bath we went to the recreational room for our dinner, the dinner was humble, traditional coorgi food served with love and warmth. Then after we just chilled in their sitting area sipping on our brandy and enjoying  foggy hills of Madikeri. Indeed jaded at jade hills!!
